The Calamity Ring is a ring in Dark Souls. It is only available in the Artorias of the Abyss additional content.
In-Game Description
- A ring enchanted by the orange eye of Kalameet, the bringer of calamity. Doubles damage received by its wearer.
- A useless ring befitting of no finger. Best left unknown, or at least well hidden.

The Calamity Ring is obtained after killing Black Dragon Kalameet.
Characteristics[]
The Calamity Ring doubles the damage the wearer takes. This trait is similar to the effects of Kalameet's grabbing attack.
There is no intended usefulness to this ring, it only increases the difficulty of the game, although it can be useful for psychological warfare, making the opponent doubt whether one is a novice who does not know better or a skilled expert waiting for unexpecting players to take the bait offered by that added weakness. The best use for this ring is to force yourself to improve your skills faster by constantly having your life on the line.
