The alternate space of the Imotako provides a safe haven for the wearer when engaged in battle. Though it exposes the Imotako in the real world, the pocket dimension prevents the wearer from receiving any form of physical interaction from the other side, as they become intangible to anything originating from there. The wearer also cannot be forcibly dragged out of the dimension even if the opponent's abilities are able to transcend dimensions. On the other hand, the wearer is able to physically interact with anything from the real world. This gives the wearer a great and unfair advantage in battle, as they can attack their opponents from the other side while being impossible to harm by the latter. The wearer can also adhere to real world surfaces while in the dimension. Though they are impossible to attack while in the pocket dimension, the wearer can receive attacks that are capable of transcending dimensions, as demonstrated by Momo finishing off the Imotako Kur wearer with her newly developed Moe Moe Tri-Beam.

Strengths and Weaknesses
The protrusions are able to elongate to allow the wearer to attack their opponents from a mid-distance away, such as piercing and restraining them. If pierced in the head, the protrusions are capable of turning opponents into mindless puppets that the wearer can control. The only way for the mind control ability to be undone is for an outside party to use a unique method, such as Rokuro and Momo using the data restoring device to return the Serpo back to normal. |
History[]
Imotako is one of the two known exosuits, with the other one being the Hastur, used by the Kur to have access to other dimensions.
Synopsis[]
Kintama Hunt Saga[]
Space Globalists Arc[]
At Moe Moe Kikoho, Imotako Kur emerges amidst the chaos instigated by Serpo and numerous alien clones. He attacks by using his power to transform the Serpo aliens into creatures with facial features resembling his own, thereby turning them into his underlings. Momo Ayase and a Serpo use ironings to smash the clone aliens in the face, causing them to revert to their original Serpo forms. This cycle continues and the Serpo clones are overwhelmed. To end the battle, the Serpo tells Momo to defeat Imotako Kur, yet she struggles due to his ability to phase through objects, as his true body exists in a different dimension. Ultimately, remembering a lesson from her grandmother, Momo harnesses the power to turn impossible thoughts into reality, unleashing a Moe Moe Tri-Beam that disintegrates Imotako Kur, resulting in his death.
He's briefly seen attached to the side of the Warp Gate Pyramid during the Invasion of Sumer.
Trivia[]
- The Imotako's appearance is based on the Dogū with palms pressed together, following most of the exosuits' figurine theme.
- The Imotako also follows the exosuit theme of being named after an octopus dish, with "Imotako" being named after "potato octopus" (いもたこ Imotako?).
- The Imotako's exosuit motto is "Walls have ears and shoji have eyes" (壁に耳り障子に目あり Kabe ni mimi ari Shōjinimeari?).[2]
