Aura (炎, Ōra^?) is energy that resides in all living and non-living things, even within the dead.

Overview[]

Aura is described as being flame-like and having color to them that varies. To both the living and to spirits, aura is the essential energy that keeps them alive, being akin to a "battery". As such, if a spirit were to lose their aura their form will completely crumble away into nothingness instead of being allowed to pass on into the afterlife, which will also result in their existence being forgotten by both the living and the dead.

Auras also contain a being's powers and abilities. If undergoing a transfer of aura, the donor will end up possessing the donator's powers and abilities, with the case of Aira Shiratori.
