"Killer App" is the fourth episode of Season Thirteen and the 281st overall of Criminal Minds.

Summary[]

The BAU travels to Silicon Valley to uncover the mastermind that used a state-of-the-art drone to commit a workplace shooting.

Although this episode was the third one produced in the season, it was aired as the fourth.
The episode unsub's name was erroneously listed as "Jake Loban" in a press release, as well as multiple streaming apps.
The episode's plot is inspired by the significant notice and controversy of mass civilian deaths in rivaling countries cause by deadly bomb and missile strikes by U.S. manufactured and sanctioned military drones. The casualties ranked in the hundreds, most notoriously in Pakistan, but also in Yemen, Afghanistan, and Somalia.
