The Mayan Princess was a character who appeared in Courage Meets the Mummy, as well as one of Muriel's past lives.
Story[]
As revealed by Professor Frith, this Princess lived millenniums ago, and loved cookies dearly. Each day, her royal baker would prepare a jar full of cookies, and it would be presented to her by her most trusted royal advisor, Poohbah.
However, before the greedy Poohbah presented the jar to the Princess, he would steal some cookies and sell them for his own profit. One day, the baker caught Poohbah stealing and went to inform the Princess, but Poohbah got to her first, presenting to her a half-full jar and accusing the baker of being the thief. Outraged. The Princess ordered that the baker would have "his mouth sewn shut, his eyebrows plucked, and his body mummified".
Millenniums later, when the Princess and Poohbah were reincarnated as Muriel and Eustace respectively, the baker - now an ancient mummy - rose from his grave, and made his way to Nowhere to avenge himself upon the couple. After consulting the computer, Courage resorted to past life regression hypnosis to make Muriel and Eustace think they were the Princess and Poohbah. Ultimately, Poohbah was exposed as the real thief, and suffered the same sentence that the baker did millenniums ago. The Princess also apologised to the baker, exonerating him of the crime of which he was accused, and even gave him Eustace's favourite polka-dotted blanket as recompense.
With that, the Princess' spirit also returned to eternal rest, but she left Muriel with vivid memories of an ancient Mayan recipe for cookies.
