The Evil Carrot is the main antagonist in the episode "Muriel Blows Up." He is an evil, talking, army carrot who was also an experiment missile (as evidenced by a helmet and badge.) He attaches himself to his victim's intestines, endlessly repeating the phrase "Grow, expand, explode!" If consumed, his victim will eventually explode after growing to enormous size.
Muriel and Courage both eat the carrot and grow to giant size. The General interferes and removes his helmet and badge. Eustace is not so fortunate; he eats the carrot and grows faster than normal and explodes, as the General fails to disarm the carrot properly. When Courage gets back home, he finds a once again giant Muriel eating more carrots in a stew; it is unknown whether she explodes or if Courage managed to save her.

- The original voice clip of The Carrot repeating the phrase "Grow, expand, explode!" was replayed every time he spoke throughout the episode.
- The Carrot seems unable to say anything besides his iconic catchphrase "Grow, expand, explode!" Even when in danger or confused, he continues to repeat this phrase incessantly.
