SVG
[edit]hello manco, the size of an svg depends on very few things. the first one is the amount of pixel data you have inside, if your images have bitmaps or other forms of pixel images inserted then the file would be as heavy as all those images together plus the actual point of the svg. The second main source of weight in a svg is the number of points you have in your figure (those litle squares in the lines) check your lines and remove any unecesary point and surfaces. -LadyofHats 20:53, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
- did it work? i havent heard from you? -LadyofHats 14:47, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
- as long as a figure does have the same amount of points making it in a bigger or smaller size doesnt afect the file a lot. to copy and paste the same object does make the image bigger...mmm can i have a look to one of your files? -LadyofHats 11:52, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

Tip: Categorizing images
[edit]
Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.
Here's how:
1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:
2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.
[[Category:Category name]]
For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:
[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]
[[Category:Comets]]
This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".
When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").
Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.BotMultichillT 19:24, 7 September 2009 (UTC)

Bunda sorun nerede? --Taysin (talk) 19:54, 27 May 2010 (UTC)
