Hello, Isometrik!
Tip: Add categories to your files
Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.

Graphic Lab

[edit]

This notice is to inform you that the formal Commons:Graphic Lab School/Images to improve page has been split into three workshops (as in the English Wikipedia): Illustration workshop, Map workshop, and Photography workshop. You have received this message because you have the User Wikigraphist userbox, or because you are an active participant of the Graphic Lab. If you would like to continue to request or improve, you may do so in your preferred workshop. Note that the formal page should not receive further requests and current discussions should be closed soon. Thank you, and happy holidays! ZooFari 00:56, 18 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

An error in the Menstrual cycle diagram

[edit]

Hey Isometrik, it looks like in the diagram under hormone levels, you listed one of the hormones as "FH". This is actually supposed to be "LH" for luteinizing hormone. Can you fix that? Thanks again for your excellent work. Kaldari (talk) 18:19, 19 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Nevermind, I fixed it. Kaldari (talk) 01:17, 21 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is very beautiful - which app have you used ? have you ever considered screencasting the creation of those diagrams?

Congrats and thanks!
