I will be uploading more photos of ATLAS and the surrounding, if you want to make comments, your knowledge is undoubtly more accurate and fresh than mine. Cheers ! Rama 18:30, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
006:12:06: Please excuse me, but I'm trying to find out why you show the electric and magnetic fields in phase, instead of one half out of phase, on your sketch of the transverse, spherical electro-magnetic wave. Thank you.

You left a message on my discussion page (Jz_007) Such are the vagaries of Wikipedia authoring that I've no idea how I should respond and the help section wasn't much help! See more at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Jz_007

SVG or without text (for Arpad)
[edit]Hi, if you write me your e-mail, I can send you original pictures in .cdr format for Corel Draw. You can then modify it for your need and for import to commons. I answerd for question on my discussion (http://cs.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedista:Vitecek) --Vitecek
Orbital Elements cleanup requested
[edit]Hello Arpad. Your structured vector graphics representation of the orbital elements, Orbit.svg is certainly much, much cleaner than the bitmap it replaced. Sadly there appears to be a technical error that was extant even in the original bitmap drawing you worked with. What the original author labeled as mean anomaly corresponds to true anomaly See Orbit.svg Wikipedia talk page. Perhaps you may have time to repair this? Thank you! -- Garry R. Osgood 21:51, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
Update: I patched Orbit.svg; labeling the angle correctly. I have done nothing with Orbit_hu.svg, however: I do not know Hungarian. :(. Perhaps you could synchronize the two? Thank you! Garry R. Osgood 13:36, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
Image Tagging Image:Pi-unrolled_slow.gif
[edit]
Thanks for uploading Image:Pi-unrolled_slow.gif. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikimedia Commons (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page. If the content is a derivative of a copyrighted work, you need to supply the names and a licence of the original authors as well.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag, then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use cc-by-sa-2.5 to release it under the Creative Commons or PD-self to release it into the public domain. See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find all your uploads using the Gallery tool. Thank you. [edit]Hello! I've added a English descripton. I've noticed that "8" is missing near black rectangle - target. Regarding arrows - You can add heads to it, or just delete them. I suggest to make one medium arrow in the middle of tube to mark the direction of flow of accelerated particles. It's just a simple picture, magnetes has been neglected, but of cource You can those part as well as other. Your translation of Polish text is correct. Greetings! NH2501 16:31, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

COPYRIGHT
[edit]I have a question about GNU Free Documentation License. If I use an image in a film that is posted on Wikipedia Commons and licensed under GNU-FDL, do I have to include an Appendix with the author's name and the licensing information at the end of the film? Also, for a file like this one: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:CERN-aerial.jpg, where there are two "authors," or Wikipedia users, how do I site the author?
Thanks.

Tip: Categorizing images
[edit]
Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.
Here's how:
1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:
2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".
When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").
Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.BotMultichillT 05:59, 28 February 2009 (UTC)
