Hi Explicit. Could you take a look at File:2015-10-29 23.46.56 김웅진 생물학이야기.jpg? At first glance, this appears to be a COM:DW in which the copyright status of the photographed book cover would need to be assessed, but I can't tell whether the uploader is also claiming to be copyright holder of the book or just misunderstood what "own work" means when it comes to a photo like this. -- Marchjuly (talk) 02:28, 17 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Marchjuly: Hi, the author of the book is 김웅진, which does not match the uploader's name 최광모. I vaguely remember nominating some of their files in the past for derivative work reasons, so this looks like another case of that. plicit 03:47, 17 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for taking a look at this. I've tagged the file as a copyvio because the cover seems too complex per both US and South Korean copyright law to be PD-logo and because it seems to have been published in 2017 per Google Books which means it's not old enough to be PD because of its age. -- Marchjuly (talk) 04:23, 17 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I saw that you sent a larger image, I used to do that, but now I can't, I usually bring images from commons that are small. Hyju (talk) 13:48, 12 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
