Discusses concepts of design behind the unisphere of the U S Steel Corporation, and its construction at the New York World's Fair. Ken Smith sez: "The biggest world on Earth." "The largest representation of our globe ever attempted." "The largest stainless steel structure ever built." This U.S. Steel presentation is full of hyperbole, but so what? This film features lots of construction footage and countless references to the Eiffel Tower -- but no mention of the infinitely superior Terrestrial Globe at the Paris Expo of 1900.
