Josenhans & Allan (Timotheus Josenhans and Norris B. Allan) were an architectural firm active in the Northwest in the early 20th century. Timotheus Josenhans (b.10/11/1853 in Leonberg, Germany) who came to Seattle in May 1888, had previously partnered with James Stephen in the 1890s where they designed several early buildings for Washington State University. With new partner Norris B. Allan (b.1868 in St. John, New Brunswick) they came to prominence in 1899 as the designers of Lewis and Clark Halls for the University of Washington. They would go on to design numerous commercial buildings and homes around Puget Sound for prominent citizens such as Alden Blethen and Nels Nelson. Josenhans would later serve as Seattle's superintendent of buildings.
