Aliya

Aliya^[1] was a member of the Sisters of Arcana before she was murdered by Fiona Callahan.

History[]

Throughout the Series[]

In "Bug a Boo", Aliya knocks Mel Vera over the head when she enters the Sarcana hideout to prevent her from seeing Fiona Callahan.

In "Jingle Hell", Aliya joins the rest of her coven in initiating Mel into the coven.

In "Keep Calm and Harry On", Aliya and the coven try to heal Fiona from the effects of her imprisonment in Tartarus.

In "The Replacement", Aliya was killed by Fiona along with all the other Sarcana witches, excluding Jada Shields.

In "Source Material", it was shown that Harry Greenwood tried to convince Fiona to spare Aliya's life, but she killed her anyway. Mel with Macy Vaughn and Maggie Vera witness these events through Macy's Evil Sight.

Personality[]

Aliya seemed like a determined woman, as she had no qualms about attacking Mel as soon as she saw her, to protect the secret of the Sarcanas. She also tried to escape from Fiona by taking advantage of a moment of distraction from her, showing a certain presence of mind.

Physical Appearance[]

Aliya had curly brown hair and brown eyes. She appears to be of African-American descent.

Powers and Abilities[]

Basic Powers

• ​​​​​Spell Casting: The power to cast spells and perform rituals.
• Potion Making: The power to brew and concoct potions, remedies and elixirs that have supernatural properties.

Active Powers

• Zoopathy: The power to control over the crows of the coven. The power is granted by the mark of the Sarcana, which is given to the witch during the initiation ritual.

Inactive Powers

• Immunity: Being a witch, Aliya is inherently immune to certain magical abilities (e.g. the songs of sirens and the mind-altering effects of pixie dust).

• Aliya is the only named member of the Sarcana not to have a major role in the series' plot.
• It is unknown what happened to Aliya's body and those of her coven after they were massacred by Fiona.
