Christmas Craft Creations, August theme: Non Traditional Colours, with video

This month we from Chritsmas Craft Creations are  challenging you to channel your non traditional Christmas colours. I made two cards, one with pastel trees and a purple glittery one.

I made two versions, but the process is the same, but the little one didn't show enough of my  patterned paper.

So Iwent big A5 size (15x21cm) and with purple glitter paper.

Stamped sentiment from Art Hobby  (Santa paws) and the cat from Katzelkraft (Solo02) with Versafine ink, heat set it.

Drew in the line where I wanted the cat to have torn the wallpaper,of wrappingpaper from a boxed gift...you choose ;-)

Mounted everything with tape to the cardbase.

Christmas Craft Creation - July Theme- Anything goes, with video

This month it's Anything Goes at Christmas Craft Creations,so I  made little treatboxes, party favors, stocking fillers if you will.

The finished project measures 2"x 2"1/4x 3/4',  the paperyou need is 3"c6"and you'll get 8 out of one sheet of 12"x12". You can put anything inside, over here we have these chocolate coins for Christmas and Sinterklaas. But I also found some littl chocolate baubles, I'm sure there's lots of things you can stick in there like candycanes.

Cut your paper to 6"x 3". Score on the short side at 3/4"turn and score on the long side at3/4", 2"3/4, 3"1/2 and 5"1/2

burninsh the scoreline, remove bits as shown in videoor on pattern. glue together . I like to

use glue gun, strong, bit of wiggle room and quick.

Christmas Craft Creations Challenge, June theme: Heat embossing

Christmas Craft Creations Challenge, June theme: Heat embossing.

For my card I used the Nellie Snellen Wreath builder stencils and cut my card to  fit 12.5cm square.

For the snowflakes I've used My Favorite Things Simply Snowflakes and Versamark ink.

I have stamped and heat embossed each snowflake and each colour one by one as I didn't want to smudge the power or ink, quite the labour of love, but it looks pretty.

For the snowflakes I've used Wow embossing powders:  Opaque prinary frozen, Under the sea,Oceanic and for the sentiment  Metallic Silver regular.

The sentiment is also from My Favorite Things, from the set Bitty Holiday wishes.

For the cardbase I cut an A4 sheet lengthwise at 14.85cm and folded it in half.

Mounted the panel with snowflakes onto the cardbase with foamtape and the same with the sentiment strip.

Chirstmas Craft Creations May Theme: Tags or ATC

This month we play with ATC (artist trading cards or coins) and Tags.

I went with a set of three Artist trading coins. Punched them out of Mixed media card, masked off the snowbanks and then inkblended Distress inks Mermaid lagoon and Tumbled glass, little bit of Chipped sapphire. Added splatters of water and then stamped the silhouettes from Marianne Design with Versafine ink.

The Mooses, Meese, Moose, whatever you call them I turned into Rudolphs, kinda without thinking. Stamped them on Copic friendly paper and colored them with my Triblend

,markers, cut them out, mounted them with foamtape and adhered them on top. They're from Clearly Besotted (Merry Christmoose)

Christmas Craft Creations, April Theme: No Stamping. with Video

This month we're not stamping at the Christmas Craft Creations and at first that threw me, but then I remembered I made a card similar to this one for  a challenge I've entered myself.

For it I'm using the Simon Says Stamp Joyful frame die and cut it from a cardpanel, then again to get the inner bit.

Traced the window onto the cardbase and swiped Distress inks Candied apple across the cardbase.

Adhered the panel with tape runner and placed it on the base.

Then stuck down the centre with liquid glue. for the twig I've used a  set from Marianne Design (Col 1439) It adds a little festive feeling with the red glittery berries, but it doesn't even need it.

As I had double sided tape behind the
cardstock the little bits became sticker and are so easy to stick on a card.

Perfect card for multiples.

Christmas Craft Creations Challenge, Marche theme: Christmas Flowers, with video

It is March and the Christmas Craft Creations challenge is: Christmas Flowers.

For my card I've used a wreath from Clearly Besotted (ring around Christmas set) and I've stamped it with Versafine ink. The sentiment is from Honey Bee Stamps (Fa lalalala set) and I've also stamped it with Versafine ink on watercolour paper.

I've made a mask for the penguin, so can make him sit on the present, Stamped him, masked him and then stamped the wreath.

To colour my images I've used Talens Ecoline.

After I've sprayed the cardpanel with spray fixative,I do this outside and then I adhered the panel to a cardbase with tape runner.

Christmas Craft Creations, February Theme: Blue and Silver, with video

This month the Christmas Craft Creations is all about Blue and Silver.

I made a shaker card with blue shimmery cardstock and silver embossing powder and glitter.

For the shaker portion I diecut the Altenew Ampersand from the blue card and then Stamped "merry" and "bright" with  Versamark ink and heat embossed it with Wow metallic silver regular embossing powder.

Adhered a piece of acetate to cover the back of the front panel, built up the shaker part with a single layer of foamtape. then filled the shaker bit with silver glitter and confetti from Stampendous (silver holo glitter) and Wow
sparkles.closed the shaker part with another blue panel and then adhered it all to a cardbase.

Christmas Craft Creations January theme: Use ribbon or twine, with video

The new Christmas Craft Creation Challenge is: Use ribbon or twine.

For my card I've used a star shaped die from Nellie Snellen (MFD050) one cuts the holes and another the shape. I appreciate you might not have such a die, but I've used a pokey tool inthe past as well.

For the sentiment I've used  Clearly Besotted Laugh out loud. And for my  "tinsel" golden thread in a string art kind of way.

Behind the start shaped window I've applied Distress Oxides Candied Apple, directly on the cardbase..

Mounted the panel with foamtap and adhered it onto the cardbase.

Christmas Craft Creations - December theme: Winter Blues

Christmas Craft Creations - December theme: Winter Blues..
You can interpret this is many ways, I went for a blue card ;-).

It's navy linnen structured, I did use the smoother side, but somehow the snowflake shows the grid and the sentiment does not, funny eh?

The sentiment is from a really old Hero Arts set: Classic Christmas borders, I just love the font.

The snowflake is from Stampendous: Intricate Snowflakes.

I stamped both with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with  Wow Metallic platinum
sparkle embossing glitter.

Rounded two of the corners on the blue panel, mounted it with foamtape and adhered it to a card base.

I wanted this really classy look of blue and silver, moody too.

Christmas Craft Creations - November theme: anything goes but NO cards with video

Christmas Craft Creations - November theme: anything goes but NO cards.

So I made some Christmas Sour cream treats or stocking fillers.
I filmed this in September, so I've used candies I had, still some Easter eggs left too. Didn't like them, cheap fake chocolate ;-)...Anyway these treat things are really easy to make.

I've used 6x6"paper and cut it to 4,5"x6" so it's retangular. The size really doesn't matter, the shape will change or the size. Ilike rectangular pieces as they look the most like those oldfashioned Sour Cream pouches.

I'm using light weight paper, not cardstock, you canofcourse, but then the double sided
tape should be replaced with the hot glue gun, it might not stay glued together if it's heavier card. And as a stocking filler I don't think they need to be made of your precious cardstock. If you use 12x12 you can get 4 out of a sheet, but please use hot glue.

I put tape/glue on the short side and glue that to the other edge, see video.
then I peel one of the longer sides off and push it together, I do pay attention to the seam. then fill it with goodies and peel off that side of tape and turn the pounch 90degrees, so the seam is on an angle to the one before, again, see video, it's really easy, but hard to explain ;-)

I went through my stash of Christmas related embellishments and added a few bit and bobs to spruce them up.

Christmas Craft Creation - October theme: Christmas Music, with video

For the Christmas Craft Creation October theme: Christmas Mucis, I've printed the CC Designs Carolers digistamp.

I've colored it with Copics, Triblend and Spectrum Noir markers, then added it to a cardbase with tape runner.

Can't say any more than that ;-) easy peasy, but cute card.

Christmas Craft Creations September theme: Shaped card, with video

This month we from Christmas Craft Creations challenge you to make a shaped card.

I made a round one as it reminds me of an ornament or bauble.
I diecut 4, but only need 3 circles with a stitched edge. from one I diecut the tree and houses from Clearly Besotted. It's reitred (I got it second hand) but you can use whatever you like of course.

For the background I applied Distress Oxieds: Mermaid Lagoon, Wilted Violet and Picked Raspberry. Splattered it with water and later also Lawn Fawn Liquid Stardust.

Stamped the Santa sleigh with Versafine clair ink. It's from Marianne Design Cs1040.

Mounted the trees and houses with foamtape.

For the back I scored it somewhere at the top, there's no rule for that. Burnished it and attached it with glue to the front.

Christmas Craft Creations August theme: Animals, with video

This month we're embracing Animals as our theme for the Christmas Craft Creations challenge blog.

For my card I made a mask from stencil plastic to apply Distress Oxides Candied Apple through it.
To make it I drew a sketch, traced it with a markers, scanned it on the Scan N Cut and then had it cut out.

For my sentiments and image I've used the Whimsy Stamps: Grumpy Holidays, I've stamped itwith Versafine Clair Nocturne ink.

I thought the sentiment was hilarious "I made you a present it's on the lawn"as  revenge for having to wear antlers., He's not happy about it, much like my cats would be plotting their revenge too. Here's Tjeerd he left  the Santa hat on for 2 second...just enough to take a picture ;-).

I colored the image with Copic and Spectrum Noir markers and mounted it on top with foamtape.

Christmas Craft Creations July Challenge: Christmas Characters, with video

Welcome back to the Christmas Craft Creations, July edition: Christmas Characters.

I chose a surfing Santa, as if he's on holiday at the mo, getting a nice tan too.
I will send it to my friends on the Southern Hempishere as it's Summer there when it's Christmas.

For my card I used a digi by Craftin Desert Divas, it's no longer available, but you might have something similar.

The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp Tiny Words Christmas.

I made the background twice, didn't like the smaller window, so I used a stencil I made with an oval die, then inkblended Distress Oxides (Tumbled Glass and Mermaid Lagoon) through a Simon Says Stamp Waves stencil and for the clours a Marianne Design Stencil.

I mounted Santa with foamtape and placed him on top.

Christmas Craft Creations : June Theme: Christmas Trees. With video

The June theme for the Christmas Craft Creations is: Christmas trees.

For my card I diecut a mask with a tree borderline from masking paper and applied it to the cardbase.

I applied Distress Oxides for my wintry sky : Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Mermaid Lagoon, Faded Jeans and Chipped Sapphire.

Then I splattered white Dylusion spray pain , Kuretake White ink and Ranger Distress Spray stain Brushed Pewter.

Removed the mask and then stamped the sentiment from My Favorite Things Bitty Holiday Wishes. I've used Versamark ink and Papermania Superfine Silver embossing powder to echo the silver splatter.

Christmas Craft Creations, May Challenge: use a diecut, with video

Welcome back for the May Challenge at Christmas Craft Senstations: Use a diecut.

For my card I used a die from Kippers Hobby (20097) and diecut is 4 times out of white cardstock, once from silvery glittered cardstock and once from a mica sheet to  make a mask/stencil, the same size. I didn't have this particular size made and you could do it from masking paper or cardstock, but this way I can use it more often.

I inkblended Distress oxides: tumbled glass, broken china and faded jeans through the mask and then splattered it with white paint.

Then I added the glitter card on top of the white ones with liquid glue (Ranger collage medium) and adhered it to the cardbase.

Stamped the sentiment from My Favorite Things'Bitty holiday wishes with Versafine Onyx black ink.
Added three rhinestones and that's my card finished.

Christmas Craft Creations April Challenge, Use a Stamp, with video

I'm delighted to say I joined the Chirstmas Craft Creations DT. Once a month we make a Christmas Cards according to the prompt.

This month it's: Use a stamp.

For my card I used Clearly Besotted : Christmas Line up and Laugh Out loud Christmas  for the sentiment.

I start my card by inkblending a background, through a home made stencil/mask. I applied Tumbled glass on the bottom and Stormy Sky Distress Oxides on the top. I thought it would look like a snowy scene.

I splattered Lawn Fawn Liquid Stardust at the end, it was a bit of an afterthought, but I was careful, if not you should add the splatters now, before you add the images.

I coloured my Christmas Line up with Spectrum Noir markers and adhered it on top with foamtape.
