AAA Cards Challenge #175 : One Layer + coffee

This fortnight it's the dreaded ONE layer card, plus the option to use something coffee.

It's Michelle's choice.

I've used the Katzelkraft stamps (Les Pingouins), And I stamped it with Gina K amalgam ink. the sentiment is from Joy Crafts (6410/0469) and I stamped that with Versafine Clair ink.

I chose the penguin as it really doesn't need colouring and it's holding a cup of something warm, I see coffee ;-). But I added some colour anyway with my markers, fully realizing it might seep through the card base to the inside. But I didn't want to leave it all B&W.
The shading under the penguin is so faint, I don't think it shows up on the photo.

For more information, or to play along the AAA Cards Challenge, see this.

As I thought it would fit the Cheers challenge at Less is More I shall enter it there too, there's a dt card that uses coffee, I don't have many if any drinking related stamps.

For the Less is More Challenge, see this.
The Time Out Challenge is also about coffee, so see this if you're interested.

The Background is Distress inks through a diy stencil from a die ( Candied apple, Carved pumpkin, Squeezed lemonade, Twisted citron, Mowed lawn, Mermaid lagoon, Chipped sapphier, Wilted violet and Picked raspberry)

The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp Birthday Balloons and I've stamped it with Versafine Clair ink.

Mounted the cat with foamtape and adhered him  on top. I went for  green as I thought it might be copper, like statues.

Nuvo Shimmer pen, Midas gold on the light bulbs, Zig gel pen for the shine.

Joyful frame

The Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge is: frame it.

The Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is: No stamps allowed!. Blimey and that in Stamptember lol...a challenge indeed as I like my critter stamps ;-).

So I thought long and hard and came up with this card with diecutting only. I've used the Simon Says Stamp  Joyful frame, obviously,  and a holly twig from Marianne Design. I've diecut the holly from green cardstock and the berries from glitter cardstock.

I diecut the Joyful frame from a cardpanel. At first I wanted to use the skinny frame and words, but while I was using this negativeto

place back the letters, I thought it looked far more CAS. So I carefully peeled off the skinny frame from the carbase on which I had applied Fired Brick Distress ink.

Mounted everything flush with taperunner, I ended up with two frames, the skinny red on and the one around the cardpanel. I think this looks so stylish. I've added the Holly twig just for those who need more detail, otherwise I would have left it off;-).

AAA Cards Challenges #174: Up to 1/3 + Woodland Animals, with video

This fortnight the AAA Cards Challenge is: up to1/3 and with the option to use woodland animals.

Our Sponsor is Crafty Scrappers and you could win:

For my card I cut a circle window in a panel with the Memory Box Tree branch cirle.
Traced the opening onto the cardbase and applied Distress Oxides. I noticed a smear and some damages, so I redid this panel off camera.
The sentiment and my woodland animal are from CC Designs  Foxes. I also had diecut some skinny tall trees to reinforce the wood feeling, but I didn't use them as I liked my inkblended background.

I coloured the fox with bunny with Spectrum Noir markers. Adhered the panel and fox to the cardbase.

Christmas Craft Creations September theme: Shaped card, with video

This month we from Christmas Craft Creations challenge you to make a shaped card.

I made a round one as it reminds me of an ornament or bauble.
I diecut 4, but only need 3 circles with a stitched edge. from one I diecut the tree and houses from Clearly Besotted. It's reitred (I got it second hand) but you can use whatever you like of course.

For the background I applied Distress Oxieds: Mermaid Lagoon, Wilted Violet and Picked Raspberry. Splattered it with water and later also Lawn Fawn Liquid Stardust.

Stamped the Santa sleigh with Versafine clair ink. It's from Marianne Design Cs1040.

Mounted the trees and houses with foamtape.

For the back I scored it somewhere at the top, there's no rule for that. Burnished it and attached it with glue to the front.

Gnome on Bumble

The Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge is: favorite stamp, no digi.

I have many , well all my stamps are loved, but these Gnomes from Stamping Bella I got not long ago are my favorites now, they're so cute.
In the background a stamp from Creative Expressions called Magical meadow, I stamped it over a Distress Oxides background, It's a really lond stamp, so this is about half of it, just to give the idea of grasses and whatever lives there together with the gnomes.

The Stamping Bellas gnome and sentiment are from the set Flying Gnome. Stamped it with Gina K amalgam ink and colored it with alcohol markers.

And just cos I feel he's going on a trip as well, I'd like to enter it into the Male Room challenge too.

AAA Birthday Guest Designer card

I'm so honoured to be asked as a gues designer again for AAA Birthdays.

The September theme is: animals and or critters.

I went for weird looking critters. It's a digi from Etsy, Lizzy Love or Oddbal digis,it's called Unicorns and sprites, they're so cute and enough of them to make a rainbow.

I printed it on watercolour paper with my laser printer and coloured them with Talens Ecoline ink.

I added the sentiment while in Photoshop, I went for a first grader look. Thought about adding a sentence on the bottom, but
decided it was full, on the inside I will write. I hope your day is magical.

Adventure awaits

The Male Room Challenge this fortnight is: travel.

Of course travelling far and abroad is a bit tricky at the moment, but I thought this free digi from Sliekje Stamps is so fitting for a boy going on an adventure, like the Hobbits that never left their village before...

I printed the digi onto watercolor paper with my laser printer, then colored it with Talens Ecoline a fluid watercolor medium.

Added the panel onto a cardbase with taperunner.
