- "Search the crashed bombers and compete to be the Final Victors"
- — Playlist description
Last Hours of Verdansk is a limited-time event featured in Call of Duty: Warzone that was available between December 6th at 9AM PT and December 7th at 9PM PT, 2021. The mode marked the end of the Verdansk map which was replaced by Caldera with the launch of the Season One of Call of Duty: Vanguard.
Overview[]
Upon launching the mode, a black screen with the phrase "A few hours before leaving Verdansk" appeared before the loading screen. The mode itself played similarly to a Battle Royale match where players had to survive in order to win. The Resurgence system was also available for squads. Any player who participated in the mode were rewarded with the Rare "I Was There" Calling Card.
When starting a match, many planes and flak explosions could be see in the sky. Several could be seen crashing onto the map, dropping a Supply Box. Those Crashed Plane Supply Box needed to be open to acquire a Crashed Plane Intel working exactly like a Scavenger Contract. Upon activating the contract, the players had 6 minutes to open 4 specific Supply Boxes to complete the contract. After completing the contract, the players were rewarded with the Legendary "Wicked Grin" Fighter Plane Vehicle Skin.
As the match progressed, bombing runs began to increase working like Cluster Strikes and many bomber planes appeared in the sky. The playzone shrunk towards either of the three bunkers available (Radar Array, Boneyard, Airport Maintenance). With the fifth circle, an emergency siren activated and the players were tasked to reach a bunker to survive the bombing. Inside the bunker, the players had to secure a room and defend it from other players and squads, filling a progression bar. Once the bar was full, the players holding the room won and were rewarded with the Epic "Final Victor" Calling Card.
