Shed Shell

The Shed Shell (Japanese: きれいなぬけがら Pretty Shed Shell) is a type of held item introduced in Generation IV. It allows the holder to switch out regardless of trapping moves and Abilities.

In the core series games

Allows the holder to switch out (but not flee or Teleport) even if it is under the effect of a trapping move or Ability.

The Shed Shell allows the holder to switch out regardless of even self-inflicted effects, such as Ingrain.
