Release information

This card was included in the Alolan Sandslash-GX Box as one of the SM Black Star Promos, released January 24, 2020. A Jumbo version was also included in the box. In Japan, this card was one of seven possible SM-P Promotional cards available in promotional packs awarded to participants of Pokémon Card Gym tournaments during September, October, and November 2019. This print features the Pokémon Card Gym logo.

Origin

This card features the Alolan form of Sandslash. Spiky Shield and Frost Breath are both moves in the Pokémon games. Alolan Sandslash cannot learn Spiky Shield, but can learn Frost Breath via TM.
