The ADV Era marks the start of Generation III, featuring the merchandise released for the ADV Expansion Pack expansion until the start of the PCG Era with Flight of Legends, primarily including Decks and Deck Kits. Below is a chronological list of all the items released during the Japanese ADV Era of the Trading Card Game.
Treecko Constructed Starter Deck
The ADV era began with the release of Expansion Pack and three accompanying half decks on January 31, 2003. The first of these was the Treecko Constructed Starter Deck (Japanese: 築済みスターター キモリデッキ ), which focuses on the Wood Gecko Pokémon Treecko, one of the new Hoenn first partner Pokémon, among a selection of other Grass Pokémon, including Scyther ex, a new powerful variant of Pokémon called Pokémon-ex. The half deck also includes Fighting and Colorless-type Pokémon, plus a rulebook, damage and status counters, and a coin.

Torchic Constructed Starter Deck
The second half deck released on January 31, 2003 was the Torchic Constructed Starter Deck (Japanese: 築済みスターター ミズゴロウデッキ), which focuses on the Chick Pokémon Torchic and its evolutions. Fire-type Pokémon are the primary focus of the half deck, which also includes Magmar ex, along with several Lightning and Darkness-types. The half deck comes with a set of damage and status counters, a coin, and a rulebook.

Mudkip Constructed Starter Deck
The Mudkip Constructed Starter Deck (Japanese: 築済みスターター アチャモデッキ ) rounds off the trio of half decks released on January 31, 2003, featuring the Water-type Mud Fish Pokémon Mudkip. Lapras ex is also featured among the selection of Water types, in addition to a handful of Psychic and Metal Pokémon. Like the other half decks, the Mudkip Constructed Starter Deck comes with a set of damage and status counters, a coin, and a rulebook.

Flygon Constructed Starter Deck
The Flygon Constructed Starter Deck (Japanese: 構築済みスターター フライゴンデッキ) was released on June 25, 2003 and is one of two half decks to accompany the Rulers of the Heavens expansion. The half deck revolves around the Mystic Pokémon Flygon and the use of Grass, Lightning, and Colorless-types, with a Vibrava card and Flygon featuring attacks requiring the use of these types of Energy. The Legendary Pokémon Latios is included as a Pokémon-ex card. The Flygon Constructed Starter Deck comes with the usual set of damage and status counters, a coin, and a rulebook.

Salamence Constructed Starter Deck
The other half deck released alongside the Rulers of the Heavens expansion on June 25, 2003 was the Salamence Constructed Starter Deck (Japanese: 構築済みスターター ボーマンダデッキ). As with the main expansion, there is more focus on Colorless-types, with the central Pokémon Salamence and its evolutionary line included, plus the Legendary Pokémon Latias as a Pokémon-ex card. Fire and Water Pokémon are also included, with a Bagon card and Salamence featuring attacks requiring Energy for these types. The half deck comes packaged with a set of damage and status counters, a coin, and a rulebook.

Movie Commemoration VS Pack
The Movie Commemoration VS Pack (Japanese: 映画公開記念VSパック) was made available on July 19, 2003 in celebration of the cinema release of Jirachi: Wish Maker. The half deck features a variety of Pokémon that are native to Forina, the main setting of the movie, and some Pokémon belonging to Butler, the main antagonist. The half deck also comes with a special Jirachi coin and a set of damage and status counters.

Magma Deck Kit
The Magma Deck Kit (Japanese: 構築済みデッキ マグマ団ハーフデッキW) was released on October 24, 2003 alongside the Magma VS Aqua: Two Ambitions expansion and is one of two deck kits that focus on the two villainous teams that debuted in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire. The Magma Deck Kit features a number of Fire. Fighting, and Darkness-type Pokémon belonging to Team Magma, including Groudon as a new dual-typed card. The kit includes two half decks, a special coin, and a rulebook.

Aqua Deck Kit
The Aqua Deck Kit (Japanese: 構築済みデッキ アクア団ハーフデッキW) focuses on the villainous team Team Aqua and was released alongside the Magma VS Aqua: Two Ambitions expansion on October 24, 2003. Water, Lightning, and Darkness-type Pokémon comprise those which belong to Team Aqua, including the Legendary Sea Basin Pokémon Kyogre as one of the new dual-typed cards. In addition to the two half decks that make up the kit, a rulebook and special coin are included.

Gift Box
The Gift Box (Japanese: ギフトボックス), released on November 17, 2003, serves as the ADV era's traditional TCG item of beginner's merchandise, featuring a demonstrative CD-ROM and large beginner's rulebook. The two half decks included in the Gift Box focus on the Legendary Eon Pokémon Latias and Latios along with a variety of other Pokémon, some of which were previously only available in English from the EX Sandstorm expansion. The Gift Box also comes with a set of damage and status counters, plus a special Pikachu coin.

Official ADV2 Deck Cases
On November 28, 2003, two separate deck boxes were released. The first featured Groudon and Kyogre while the second featured Plusle and Minun. Each deck box retailed for a price of ¥250 each.

Metagross Constructed Starter Deck
The Metagross Constructed Starter Deck (Japanese: 構築済みスターター メタグロスデッキ) was the last item of ADV era merchandise and was released alongside the Undone Seal expansion on January 16, 2004. The half deck features Psychic, Fighting, and Metal-type Pokémon, focusing on the Iron Leg Pokémon Metagross. Both Metagross and the Wish Pokémon Jirachi are included as dual-type cards. The half deck also comes with a rulebook, a coin, and a set of damage and status counters.
