The Scooby members are listed in order of length of membership, and if you think it through, Xander has the most time clocked. Buffy misses the top position because she was dead for a summer, Willow misses the top position because she went evil for a couple episodes and spent a summer in England learning how to "not kill people", and Giles misses it because he bailed in season 6.
