Spike and Faith is the twentieth issue of the Angel & Faith comic book series. Written by Christos Gage and illustrated by Rebekah Isaacs, it was originally published on March 27, 2013, by Dark Horse Comics.
Synopsis[]
Angel is ridiculously close to his goal of resurrecting Giles — when he's suddenly sidetracked, forcing an unlikely partnership between Faith and Spike. Tensions run high as Slayer and vampire hit the mean streets of London...

Summary[]
With Eyghon defeated, Spike suggests he and Faith celebrate together with drinks. Faith, however, turns her attention to Angel, who lost all sense in the wake of the battle. Spike, Faith, and Alasdair discuss possible solutions to their predicament; they choose to follow Alasdair's knowledge to retrieve the Essuary, a mystical item within which they could store the fragments of Giles' soul. The artifact is in the possession of Enders, soul-consuming demons. Before Spike and Faith go off in search of it, they take Angel back to Faith's home and lock him in the basement.
At a cemetery, Spike and Faith fight the Enders. A demon almost consumes Spike's soul, but he manages to defeat it in the nick of time. After witnessing Spike's fear of losing his soul, Faith suggests Spike sit out the fight, but he decides to risk it to help her defeat the Enders. They descend into a crypt and discuss their love lives. When Faith reveals that she and Robin Wood have broken up, Spike makes a misguided attempt to flirt with her. She declines and states that she's "nobody's rebound girl." As they recover the Essuary from the crypt, Spike admits he is still in love with Buffy.
Later at the house, Lavinia and Sophie make a pass at Spike, but ultimately reject him, justifying that he looks like the type to "get attached" to women. Alasdair gathers Faith and the sisters to help him perform the ritual and sends Spike to watch over Angel. After the sisters have their say, Faith appeals to Giles' soul to leave Angel's body.
In the basement, Spike rants to Angel about his own insecurities regarding to his relationship with Buffy and admits he admires Angel for his ability to move on from Buffy. Suddenly, Angel replies coherently that he hasn't moved on from Buffy. Spike attempts to brush off his words, but Angel thanks Spike for helping him by sending a text.
The next morning, Angel and Faith discover Harmony in the shower with Spike, who thanks Angel for the tip. Faith and Angel decide to go out for breakfast.
Continuity[]
- Spike quips that killing a Big Bad didn't turn him into a pile of ashes, referring to when he died to defeat the First Evil in "Chosen."
- Spike jokes about Robin Wood being "a bit prejudiced" about vampires, a reference to his attempt to kill him in "Lies My Parents Told Me."
- Faith says she and Wood are "ancient history." She referred to him as an ex in No Future for You, Part One.
- Spike recalls the "chemistry" he had with Faith in "Dirty Girls."
- Faith compares Spike to Angel. Upon her first official meeting with him in "Dirty Girls," she asked Buffy if Spike was "like Angel," and Spike denied it with fervor both times.

- Harmony and Spike sleep together, the first time since "Destiny."
- Spike uses sex to cope with his depression and attempt at "moving on." He slept with Anya in "Entropy" for the same reason and person.
- Faith admits an attraction to the actor Daniel Craig, just like Buffy did in Anywhere but Here.
