Biography[]
- “Human certainty is a poison illusion. And their certainty about Him is obscene. So I destroy it.”
- ―The Ratcatcher
For centuries, the Ratcatcher preyed on religiously commited people: priests, nuns, ministers, rabbis, etc. He believed he was an agent of God, sent to punish religious figures for the certainty about God's nature.
In the 21st century, the Ratcatcher met a schizophrenic man named Hollis Avery, who, somehow aware of his vampiric status, pretended to be God and ordered him to wait for sunlight and immolate himself. Believing Avery to be God based on the fact that he had felt no fear, the Ratcatcher wandered into the desert to await sunlight.
