Bezoar was a prehistoric demon parasite whose offspring was capable of attaching themselves to other creatures and taking control of their motor functions via neural clamping.[1]
History[]
A Bezoar was uncovered living under Sunnydale High School in early 1998. It took over a health teacher, who had its eggs distributed to the students for an experiment in parenting. These eggs then hatched and took over the students, except for the eggs owned by Buffy and Xander, which were killed. Buffy then confronted and killed the mother bezoar, killing its offspring in the process.[1]

The mother Bezoar could create offspring that attached themselves to humans and controlled them. The baby Bezoar could drain the energy of a future host during their sleep using their mandibles, thus causing a considerable reduction in energy (even in Buffy), in order to be operational before the hatching.[1]
To be operational, an offspring needed to drain the life energy of the intended host before becoming attached to them. The mother Bezoar had the capacity to ingest human beings like Buffy (who killed her from the inside using with a pickaxe) and even vampires like Tector Gorch.[1]
