Adelaide

Adelaide was a Slayer who was active in the year 1820 in Paris, France.

Biography[]

Adelaide attended a masquerade despite her friend's worries about current kidnappings. In her insistence of partying, the friend told her there was "such thing as having too much fun." Adelaide left her to dance and met a men who led her outside promising her more pleasure. She followed him, but he refused to take off his mask, so they fought and his vampire face was revealed.^[1]

The vampire cornered Adelaide, asking her to choose between a painful or pleasant bite. She aimed her stake at him, who recognized her as the Slayer. She grabbed the vampire and the two fell off the balcony while she staked him. Lying over his blood and dust, Adelaine recognized there was such thing as "too much fun."^[1]

• She was one of the Slayers that first appeared in the "Chosen One" variant covers in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer (2019) comic series, in issue #6.
• She is the ninth French Slayer introduced in the Buffyverse, following Adja, Eliane de Shaunde, Maria Regina, Marie-Christine Du Lac, Claudine, Marguerite Allard, Marie Siegner, and an unidentified Slayer.
• This Slayer is active in Paris during the Bourbon Restoration (1815–1830) which followed the fall of Napoleon Bonaparte in 1814 and lasted until the July Revolution of 1830.
