- Like all of the other 2014 Legends of Chima Constraction Figures Mungus' CHI Orb can be removed from his new chest armor.
- The ultrabuild features Mungus with a transparent leg and arm even though his figure does not have either of these.
- Despite Mungus having 3 pieces of CHI on his figure the ultrabuild of him only has one piece of CHI on him like the rest of the ultrabuilds.
- The official Lego.com description says that Mungus is the leader of the Mammoth Tribe, this is incorrect as his mother Maula is the actual leader.
