Trivia[]

  • This VHS and DVD was released by Paramount Home Video on October 3, 2000. It was later released on Nick. Jr/Nickelodeon on January 13, 2002.
  • This is the only VHS to be released in Blue Videocassette Tape instead of Orange Videocassette Tape or Black Videocassette Tape.
  • This is also the only VHS to be in a clamshell instead of a slipcover.
  • In this DVD and Canadian VHS, it has Nick Jr. Kids Opening and Closing Bumpers and it has Dora the Explorer scenes in it instead of Little Bear scenes. But starting in Meet Joe (2002 VHS) it will have Nick Jr. Kids Opening and Closing Bumpers with Dora the Explorer scenes instead of Little Bear scenes.
  • This is the 1st video to not feature Nick Jr. Face segments, it cuts straight to the start of the program after the Nick Jr. "Kids" intro, the other was All Kinds of Signs.
  • This is the second video to have the Nick Jr. Hippos logo at the end of the VHS tape. The other two were Stop, Look and Listen! and Playtime with Periwinkle.
  • There is no Nickelodeon logo as the 2000 copyright is shown with the Nick Jr. Hippos logo.
  • On the DVD and Canadian VHS release, there is no Nickelodeon or Nick Jr. logo at all, and it cuts directly to the Nick Jr. "Kids" outro after the credits and Nick Jr. Productions logo.
  • In the VHS version, Little Bear was in the Nick Jr. Opening/Closing bumpers, but in the DVD and Canadian versions, Dora the Explorer was in the Nick Jr. Opening/Closing bumpers.
  • This is the 3rd VHS to have a music video, but the two music videos are at the end of this VHS now, the others were in Magenta Comes Over and Stop, Look and Listen!.
  • This VHS has only one episode, likely due to the extensive length of the episode compared to others.
    • This is the 2nd official VHS to have only one episode, the first was Blue's Birthday.
  • If one counts as this VHS, this VHS runs for 78 minutes instead of the usual 50.
  • This is the last VHS to be released in 2000.
  • From now on with the exception of Playtime with Periwinkle, the two Blue's Big News volumes and Telling Time With Blue, the Nick Jr. logo is going to use the 1999 clay version.
  • The two Paramount bumpers in this VHS are "Coming to Theaters" and "Now Available on Videocassette".
  • Just like the previous video, the closing logo used for this VHS was again the Nick Jr. Hippos logo.
  • This is the first VHS to have Nick Jr. Productions Logo (1999 Clay Version).
  • The reason why the Canadian VHS has Dora scenes instead of Little Bear scenes is because Alliance Atlantis (ReBoot, Beast Wars, CSI) had the Canadian rights to Little Bear, Canada’s equivalent to Nick Jr. is Treehouse and Nickelodeon wasn’t available in Canada until 2009.
  • When Steve uses his feet to play piano, it is a reference to the 1988 movie, Big.
  • In addition to that, the Canadian version of the Blue's Big Musical Movie VHS has updated content, rather than reusing the same content from the US version, such as the removal of the Little Bear home video trailer, the removal of the Dora the Explorer promo, the Canadian FBI warning, the Nick Jr. is Just for Me intro with Blue's Clues, Little Bill, and Dora the Explorer, no Nick Jr. Hippo logo or Nickelodeon Bone logo after the Nick Jr. Productions logo (1999 clay version), instead, it just has the Nick Jr. is Just for Me outro with Blue's Clues, Little Bill, and Dora the Explorer, and the Paramount still logo from the 90's Peanuts VHS tapes at the end instead of the 1995 Paramount still logo.

Goof[]

  • When Steve first steps on the D Sharp/E Flat key, a D note is played instead (it’s still listed on the staff as an E Flat note).
