I side with Robot Flower. Mechanical minds stick together.

TV is a male contestant in Battle for BFDI and Battle for Dream Island: The Power of Two.

In Battle for Dream Island, TV was one of the 30 recommended characters that had a chance to join the show in "The Reveal". The votes for the debut were revealed in "Reveal Novum" and he only got 13 votes which was not enough to join, placing him 7th to join the season.

In Battle for Dream Island Again, TV had the chance to join at the start of the season but he only received 287 votes which wasn't enough, placing 24th to join the season however Firey picked TV to be the host due to being similar to Announcer. TV was the host until "Insectophobe's Nightmare 3" where Puffball Speaker Box, and then later Firey Speaker Box, became the host causing TV to instead be the co-host. Then he was sent to the Tiny Loser Chamber in "Intruder Alert" due to failing to create a good Cake at Stake theme.

In IDFB, TV is currently in the Tiny Loser Chamber due to failing to debut in BFDIA and then failing to create a good Cake at Stake theme. He had a chance to join the season but only received 318 votes[1], which was not enough to rejoin and placed him 11th to join the season.

In Battle for BFDI, TV competed on A Better Name Than That until the split in "The Escape from Four" where he left the show to compete on Two's show.

In Battle for Dream Island: The Power of Two, TV competed on Are You Okay until the team swap in "What's Up Bell's String?" where he was instead put on Bagged by One. During "Seasonal Shift", he was temporally a co-host when announcing this episode's challenge and assisting the contestants on restoring the timeline.

Personality[]

While TV rarely speaks, he uses pictures and words to show how he's feeling and when he is talking to contestants. TV himself is often used by the other contestants to display information, stats, and Cake at Stake results. TV seems to believe his role as a mechanical mind is to lend a helping hand and apparently not speak, (as shown in BFB 4) which is why he displays results for Cake at Stake when he needs to, and he generally obeys when he is told to do something, especially by most of the hosts.

BFDI[]

TV dreams to win Dream Island. However, after realizing he only got 13 votes, which isn't enough to join, he shows an Announcer being crushed on his screen, indicating that TV is angry at him. Afterward, he is sent to the LOL.

BFDIA[]

TV expresses major excitement when he becomes the host. He displays the voting results in every Cake at Stake. He'll purposefully play bad variations of the Cake at Stake song and make loud noises to annoy Fries. In later episodes, he can be random and talks about things that just happened using words. He is also shown to be a quitter as he stopped doing the Martial Arts in the New Cake at Stake intro.

BFB[]

TV is again mostly silent, though displays his emotions and feelings through visual aid on his screen. While TV has been rude before, such as when he told Robot Flower not to talk, he also sided with Robot Flower when she closed the signal in "The Liar Ball You Don't Want".

TV, despite being mostly silent, is expressive and emotional, and maybe also snarky and has a sense of humor, as his voting icon is him displaying the word "don't", so that his voting message would be read as "don't type [E] to eliminate TV".

Starting in "Return of the Rocket Ship", he uses clips from previous episodes of BFDI-BFB to articulate full phrases instead of speaking.

TPOT[]

TV has adopted a text-to-speech voice (Scottish male voice at Text2Speech) and expresses a bit more emotion. He has shown a bit of antagonism, as he convinced Robot Flower to self-destruct her team's ship in "Fishes and Dishes" due to their insensitivity to robots and as revenge for kidnapping him. Despite this, he is friendly to other robotic beings, emphasizing the need for them to stick together.

He also helps his team, as he lets them use him as transportation when Puffball ditched them in "The Seven Wonders of Goiky," and when he told his team to jump over a rolling Donut in "Balancing P.AC.T.". Additionally, TV shows his dedication to his friends by sacrificing himself to ensure their survival in "Outbreak At Stake". His willingness to put their needs above his own highlights his deep sense of loyalty and care.

Official Character Guide biography[]

TV is a flat-screen who rarely speaks. He uses videos to communicate his thoughts, memories, and to provide his teammates with information. In fact, TV is so good at providing information that he served as the host for a short time in BFDIA!

Fries... wasn't a fan.

While televisions will often dominate a room, TV is happy staying in the background and doing what he thinks needs to be done. When someone needs him to display some information, TV is happy to oblige.

Did You Know?: TV has a long history of counting votes, so he's learned how to estimate voting results within a 100-vote margin of error.

Abilities[]

  • Advanced Locator: In "The Great Goikian Bake-Off", TV helps his team by using "an advanced locator installed within [him]" to locate a Dream Berry.
  • Speed: In "The Seven Wonders of Goiky", TV is shown to use his wheels to attain great speeds, fast enough to make a round-trip between the volcano in southern Goiky and the hotel in a short-enough timeframe to complete the challenge.
  • Martial Arts Combatant: TV must be proficient in Martial Arts on some level as he was practicing them with Lewis in the New Cake at Stake Intro for BFDIA.
  • Retractable Legs: TV has retractable legs that can be pulled in and out, and can also be switched out for wheels in order to travel faster.
  • BFDI Recall: On multiple occasions, TV plays clips from earlier episodes of BFDI. This is also used in "Seasonal Shift" to see which failed debuters are where.

Weaknesses[]

Coverage[]

Instances of TV speaking are rare. As a result, TV's nonspeaking roles are not listed, but instances of him speaking are.

Appearances[]

Battle for Dream Island[]

In "Half a Loaf Is Better Than None", TV walks into a vat of hydrochloric acid to retrieve the Announcer's marbles.

In "Bowling, Now with Explosions!", TV is in a crowd of Recommended Characters during Cake at Stake. They are all trapped in a metal box which sets on fire in the stinger.

TV is one of the 30 recommended characters eligible to join BFDI in "The Reveal".

In "Reveal Novum", TV plays a scene in which he wins BFDI, but then Announcer tells him he has 13 votes, which isn't enough to join. He then plays a scene where the Announcer is crushed before being flung to the LOL.

In "Return of the Hang Glider", TV is in the massive crowd of Recommended Characters on the bleachers who are watching the final Cake at Stake.

Battle for Dream Island Again[]

In "Yeah, Who? I Wanna Know", TV only gets 287 votes, which ends up being 1 position short of the competition in BFDIA. However, Firey decides that TV should be the host. For the tug-of-war challenge, TV sets the timer for when to start and then displays "GO" on his screen.

In "Get Digging", he plays two Cake at Stake songs, both of which are hated by Gelatin and Fries. At Cake at Stake, TV reveals that Coiny won the prize and Donut is eliminated. TV ends up choosing W.O.A.H. Bunch as the winning team as he found their Yoylestew sweet and simple.

In "Insectophobe's Nightmare 3", he plays another Cake at Stake song which Fries calls a bit of an improvement from his last attempt. He co-hosts with Puffball Speaker Box after Puffball receives her as a prize, and reveals that Dora is eliminated.

In "Zeeky Boogy Doog", TV reveals that Teardrop got the most likes and dislikes, though when he displays the latter he emits a loud dinging noise that irritates everyone.

In "Get in the Van", TV acts a lot more interactive as he has several background texts in response to what's happening. With Puffball Speaker Box killed, TV now co-hosts with Firey Speaker Box. During Cake at Stake, he displays some images of Donut as Firey Speaker Box explains that his corpse is being used as the cake. He reveals that Puffball won the prize again and Match is eliminated.

TV makes a brief appearance in "Well Rested", where he counts the votes for Cake at Stake.

In "Intruder Alert", Fries asks TV to create a Cake at Stake song due to budgets increasing, he attempts to make a better Cake at Stake intro through using a piano but failed. Gelatin requests Fries to give TV a second chance and the second attempt TV does is using a video game clip form The Yogscast called Minecraft - Cake Defence at 14 minutes and 28 seconds in the video. he failed so horribly at it, Golf Ball demanded he was sent to the TLC as punishment for not making a great song. Before entering the TLC, he manages to steal the key to the Locker of Losers, resulting in the Locker of Losers locking the TLC for the time being until some point between "Welcome Back" and "Getting Teardrop to Talk", as the key to the box is now inside itself.

In "Meaty", TV makes a reappearance for the Cake at Stake song, wearing a bandana and doing karate kicks with Lewis while the video game clip from last episode is paused and continued.

In "Catch These Hands", TV once again appears due to the Cake at Stake song for "Meaty" being reused.

In "Lots of Mud", TV appears in a Cake at Stake song similar to the song shown in "Meaty" and "Catch These Hands", except the background is now green instead of orange, and due to Lewis being knocked out of his car via Puffball Speaker Box’s rainbow substance in "Taste the Sweetness" (which is also the first BFDIA episode where TV doesn’t appear), Lewis now lies on the ground, unmoving, while TV alone does karate kicks.

In "Insectophobe's Nightmare 4", TV appears in the Cake at Stake song, similar to the intro in Lots of Mud, but TV’s “I ain’t giving up!” is noticeably more slow and discouraged, until TV says “I think I’m gonna…give up.”, and the song ends.

In "Well, Look Who It Is!", TV is seen in the TLC/LOL along with the other eliminated BFDIA Contestants (before BFDIA 7) + the failed BFDIA Debuters. Although TV does not speak throughout the entirety of the episode, his design is changed to be more polished when Gelatin shoots a laser at him along with many other contestants.

In “PointyPointyPointy ♫”, TV appears, but only in the background, including in the Cake at Stake song, where he lies unmoving with Lewis. He does not have lines.

In “Spore Day”, TV helps host the episode along with everybody else in the TLC/LOL. TV appears in the same Cake at Stake song seen in PointyPointyPointy🎵, and additionally, he is pushed into the TLC/LOL’s window before revealing the votes, along with comments left by viewers.

In “Respect to the Wicked” TV is silenced by tape, along with every other TLC member except Balloony. TV reveals the votes, and due to having his screen blocked, Coiny (inside Balloony’s eye) takes the tape off. TV reveals the votes. Tennis Ball gets the prize, and Bomby is eliminated.

IDFB[]

In "Welcome Back", TV is somehow in the Tiny Loser Chamber despite hosting for the previous season, a plot hole that would later be explained in "Intruder Alert" of the previous season. He is also given a chance to join the game, along with the other characters in the TLC. Although the season is currently on hiatus, they ended up getting 598 votes, placing 9th (to see spoiler texts, hover over it or highlight it with your cursor).

Battle for BFDI[]

In "Getting Teardrop to Talk", TV is initially seen cheering on Loser, displaying text saying "I Loser", with a rotating Loser after the word "I". Later on, when the teams are forming, Golf Ball chooses TV and Robot Flower to join A Better Name Than That, reasoning that if their team has two mechanical minds, then they will outmatch the other teams. In response, TV displays a real-life time-lapse of a flower blooming. When A Better Name Than That is named, TV displays the team's logo on his screen. During the challenge, TV is assigned the task of relaying coordinates of the position of the basket. He also flings 8-Ball and Basketball with the trebuchet to weigh the baskets down. He can be seen frowning at Golf Ball and Tennis Ball's corpses as 8-Ball explains that they should use the trebuchet to get the basket to X, which makes their team safe.

In "Lick Your Way to Freedom", TV simultaneously shows two clips from the previous episode of Blocky killing Tennis Ball and Golf Ball when 8-Ball reminds Blocky of why they're absent. He is also part of the crowd yelling at Four to revive contestants, though his back was turned to the camera, obstructing his face. He does not actively participate in the challenge. He reappears in the stinger, where he can be partially seen in the group of contestants running around while Taco is stuck inside a jawbreaker.

In "Why Would You Do This on a Swingset", TV is first seen during the challenge, where he, along with the rest of A Better Name Than That, follows 8-Ball's orders and ignores Golf Ball's. He also turns purple alongside Robot Flower when 8-Ball tells them to.

In "Today's Very Special Episode", TV displays the timer of ABNTT wasting time. He also shows his ability to retract his legs into his body, explaining the assumed inconsistency of his design in earlier episodes. TV, along with the rest of his team, reprimands Golf Ball for disobeying 8-Ball's orders, calling her actions "treason". TV also interrupts and scolds Robot Flower for talking, saying that she is a machine. Ironically, this was the first time TV spoke, excluding his Cake at Stake jingles in BFDIA.

In "Fortunate Ben", TV is first seen boarding his team plane, sporting a big smile. While in flight, TV showcases his alarm at the plane's lack of control by displaying an exclamation point.

In "Four Goes Too Far", TV rides in a sled with the rest of A Better Name Than That in an effort to finally get rid of Four. After their victory, TV flashes the word "EPIC" on his screen. During the challenge, TV boards the top floor of Golf Ball's Rocket in an attempt to escape the Twinkle of Contagion. While on the Moon, TV calculates that the odds of the Twinkle returning to Earth at 0.0017%. Once Saw announces that the Twinkle has left the Moon, TV shows his joy by showing a picture of a man in a suit giving a thumbs-up. However, when Golf Ball's Rocket breaks, he shows that image upside-down, giving the appearance of the man giving a thumbs-down. In the stinger, TV is shown displaying a light-blue, reflective screen.

In "The Liar Ball You Don't Want", TV is shown still stranded on the Moon, along with the rest of A Better Name Than That and a Taco-less Bleh. During Robot Flower's control of Remote, TV displays a live-feed of the challenge back on Earth. When Basketball inquires TV about whether he knew about Robot Flower closing the connection, TV responds that he sides with Robot Flower, saying that "mechanical minds stick together".

In "Questions Answered", TV shows Donut through the screen for Cake at Stake. After Donut announces this, TV shows a checkmark and plays a triumphant sound. Golf Ball then tells him (while he's offscreen) not to "fudge" the results, to which TV plays a less triumphant sound and also shows something red, possibly a cross. After getting angry at Lollipop laughing, Donut shuts her mouth with his hands coming out of TV's screen. When asked how he is able to do this, Donut says it's due to the camera being to transmit matter, and when asked to take them back to Earth that way, he says it can only send things one way. Eventually, Donut sends the entire Earth through the camera and out of TV. After getting back onto Earth, Cake at Stake continues, and the members of A Better Name Than That are all far away from Donut. He says they don't have to sit so far, which is followed by them all going inside his hole. TV is safe with 2,578 votes and is hit with a piece of Firey Speaker Box.

In "What Do You Think of Roleplay?", TV is shown displaying a chart of whose minds are swapped into which body. He also shows a flashback of Lightning flying around erratically, which leads to Fanny discovering that he is the impostor.

In "Return of the Rocket Ship", TV begins to talk using words previously said by characters from earlier seasons to form sentences rather than text to speech. After Tennis Ball discovers the coordinates for X's emeralds, TV tells his team that they must keep the coordinates a secret so they have an advantage over the other teams, only for Grassy to yell them out anyway. Later, when Basketball tells Grassy she doesn't understand why Golf Ball won't trust her, TV reminds her that she was the impostor in the previous episode. TV sits blank-faced after his team finds where to dig, and is last seen smiling in Golf Ball's rocket.

In "Don't Dig Straight Down", TV continues to talk using words previously said by characters from earlier seasons. When his team finds the emerald, he suggests bringing the emerald back to Four, which is accepted by Golf Ball. TV then wall-jumps with the rest of his team.

In "The Four is Lava", TV is recovered.

In "The Escape from Four", TV is first seen walking towards Four to watch him struggle to suck up Spongy. He then quits BFB and joins TPOT. He later replies "It appears so" to Two when he asks if Four and his contestants are gone, again using clips from previous episodes.

Battle for BFB[]

In "SOS (Save Our Show)", Announcer reveals that he got in contact with TV to put together the voting for BFDIA.

Battle For Dream Island: The Power of Two[]

TV in Battle for Dream Island: The Power of Two

In "You Know Those Buttons Don't Do Anything, Right?", TV shows footage of Four adding the BFDI back to their prize to the TPOT contestants. He shows Rubber Spatula all the names of users who voted them to join. He also displays all the votes during the final three and when Two checks to see who got the second most number of votes. TV joins Golf Ball's team when she has one last spot left. When Golf Ball nearly names her team to "Our Team Name Will Have To Be", the corresponding text shows up on TV, and this happens again once the team is called "Are You Okay". During the challenge, he suggests using Tennis Ball's trebuchet. This results in them getting swung back and forward until Puffball stops them. When his team is safe, he celebrates with an applause, which is just a clip of Coiny and Firey slapping each other rapidly.

In "The Worst Day of Black Hole's Life", TV is seen agreeing with Fries about changing the regular Cake at Stake song. TV also displays the votes for the Death P.A.C.T. Again members. During the challenge, Golf Ball tells TV to calculate a sufficiently stable stacking structure. TV answers by stacking them by five and subtracting less upwards, TV finishes with the word "99% Stable". Golf Ball wants TV to make it more stable. After going through countless structures that Golf Ball doesn't consider stable enough, TV interrupts saying "Hey, stability isn't the only thing that matters, y'know". Puffball suggests gluing the blocks together, but TV says that would be cheating. TV is surprised to see Black Hole sucking up their blocks, but Pen manages to stop him. Later, TV is shown displaying more structures that Golf Ball isn't satisfied with when their stack is suddenly knocked over by Bell, leaving only one block. Golf Ball considers this to be the perfect formation as a single block can't be knocked over. Golf Ball asks TV what he thinks and he replies "I hate you". With only one block, TV's team is safe.

In "Getting Puffball To Think About Rollercoasters", TV is first seen displaying Eggy's votes at Cake at Stake. During the challenge, TV carries some blocks into Golf Ball's underground factory where his team gets ready to build a rollercoaster for the amusement park. Golf Ball tells TV to play a tutorial for modifying the blocks into chairs for the ride. His tutorial ends up being so impressive that his team praises him for going above and beyond and not being mediocre and basic, to Puffball's jealousy. Are You Okay's rollercoaster ends up being very dangerous, but it still gets them a 5/10, so TV's team is safe from elimination. TV is last shown getting obliterated by a laser fired by Eraser.

TV in TPOT 4

In "Gardening Zero", TV is first seen being alerted by Golf Ball addressing the entire team. When Tennis Ball tells the team to go to Davidland, he obediently puts on the bracelet. Later, when he's in Davidland, TV is shown wearing the bracelet as a headband. TV then calculates the reverberation rate of a large sized David saying "Aw, Seriously?", which is 2,763 reverberation units. TV is also shown in Tennis Ball's visual explanation of what happens if the David does say "Aw, Seriously?". In the stinger, TV screams when discovered by the David. He then shows "panic" in all capital letters on his screen as the ground below him shakes violently, snapping his team's funny plant. Are You Okay places fourth, and TV is safe.

In "Fishes and Dishes", TV is unintentionally kidnapped by The Strongest Team on Earth. as he was already inside Golf Ball's Robotic Fish Monster when they stole it. He begs to be let go, but Snowball says he's going to remain as their hostage. Later, TV tries to talk Robot Flower into self-destructing the robot but she doesn't listen since she wants to stick by her team. However, after Robot Flower sees how little her team cares about using robots to deceive others, she decides to go through with TV's plan and hits his self-destruct button. The robotic fish monster then fills up with water, killing both TV and Robot Flower. The Strongest Team on Earth loses as a result of TV's sabotage. TV's team also loses however, since they didn't return any plates to Two in time.

In "The Great Goikian Bake-Off", TV is first shown at the Cake at Stake ceremony, and is the 3rd contestant safe with 5,233 votes, receiving a plan to "Just go nuts", with TV, Puffball and Eraser charging to Four using TV's wheels, resulting in TV cracking his screen. Later on in the episode, TV is instructed by Golf Ball to search for the yummiest beloved foods in the Goiky region. TV states that apparently, the Yoyleberry comes in several different varieties, with one of which being the "Dream Berry", the tastiest berries found only in the grasslands. TV then states that due to the lava flood they had many moons ago, most of the sources and have been wiped out. TV then tells Are You Okay that they can use an advanced locator installed within him to find them. TV then gains wheels and tells Pen to move him to find the dream berries. Pen goes the wrong way before TV tells him that he is getting colder, to which Pen responds to turning around and going the other way getting warmer.

Later on, eventually TV and the rest of Are You Okay reach Golf Ball's Underground Factory, when several bugs suddenly ascend from a crack. TV mentions that the crack is also where a Dream Berry is located from the lava infestation. The team is shortly after shortened by Golf Ball's Shrink-a-Tron. The team locks arms and legs with each other and try to reach the dream berry, before being knocked into the crack by a chocolate ball. Shortly after, a bug would emerge down to the team and would begin running up into the crack. The team runs out of the crack and into Tree's head to escape the bug. Later, near the end of the episode, Tree would shake him and the team out of his head as Two would return them back to normal size. TV's team is safe when Golf Ball gives Two the Dream Berry and eats it, they are awarded a 8/10 and are safe from elimination. In the stinger, TV is zapped by X when he attempts to steal their food.

In "The Seven Wonders of Goiky", TV's team is assigned with fixing The Volcano. Before they get started, TV tells Golf Ball that she's off duty for this episode. The whole team agrees that both she and Puffball should sit this challenge out for this episode. When they both leave, Eraser asks if TV has any ideas. TV is unable to think of anything and turns his screen off. After Tennis Ball explains that they should glue the volcano shut, TV turns his screen back on and tells the others that he has access to Robot Flower's shop. He suggests that they might be able to find glue there to help. Everyone gets on TV and he drives everyone to the hotel. There is no glue to be found among Robot Flower's stash of products, so Eraser grabs some from Basketball. TV drives everyone back to the volcano just in time to meet up with Golf Ball and Puffball, who have Dream Island's arches that they got in a trade with Just Not. The team breaks the arches into pieces and glue them to the volcano, making their team safe.

TV in TPOT 8

In "Balancing P.A.C.T.", TV warns his team and The Strongest Team on Earth. to jump when Donut rolls towards them. He remarks on how it's fortunate Are You Okay has a numbers advantage despite Puffball's disqualification. When Eraser suggests that he, Tennis Ball and Pen ride around on TV, he seems elated by the idea, showing his reaction to when Firey suggested that he be the host of BFDIA in "Yeah, Who? I Wanna Know". Tennis Ball also mentions that they could modify TV's casing to make him less prone to slipping, but Robot Flower intrudes, saying the same line her fleshy counterpart did on the original balance beam challenge, and knocks TV into the water below. TV reacts by displaying Announcer crying acid in "Rescission" before making fatal contact with the water. Because his team is the first to have all its members either die or fall off the balance beam, he is up for elimination.

In "Outbreak At Stake", TV runs away from the zombies along with the rest of Are You Okay and Team8s into the hotel. TV is the second person safe after Eraser and gets nails and planks as cake that he nails shortly after with Eraser. After the ceremony, he goes upstairs with his team to run away from the zombies. After Two gets infected, TV, with the rest of Are You Okay and Teardrop runs away out of the room while stepping over Gaty on the way. Zombies were climbing up the stairs too, so Golf Ball tells everyone to split up.

While she and Tennis Ball went to Basketball's Aboveground Factory, TV, along with Eraser and Teardrop, are stuck with the zombies slowly approaching them. Eraser panics and says that they need to think of something fast. TV tells them that they can try to divert the zombies elswhere while displaying a visual representation. He then tells Eraser and Teardrop to get on his head so that they can access the vents and escape. TV displays a warning sign on his screen while telling them the zombies are coming. When Eraser asks TV to grab his legs, TV plays fallen soldier sirens as he says his last goodbyes before getting hit with Snare Drum by Pen.

In "Oneirophobe's Nightmare", TV and his team are in Pen’s nightmare and find out his nightmare is being two hundred vigintillion dollars in debt and possibly being in jail for three trevevigintillion years if he doesn’t pay back his debt.

TV suggests to his team that to help escape the nightmare, they all must help Pen make enough money to pay back his debt. When Tennis Ball tells TV that his plan would take too long to do, TV simply says that they needed to get started with it. TV is shown in a montage along with his other team members helping Pen earn money to pay back his debt: including advertising a car dealership, dancing at a nightclub, and fishing at a lake.

When Golf Ball asks TV how much money they’ve made after they finished working, TV displays a sign saying “$800,000” on his screen, agitating Golf Ball. She tells TV about her nightmares, saying whenever she dies, she wakes up from her nightmare. Tennis Ball then decides to change TV’s initial plan to help Pen by saying they should try killing him instead. TV immediately agrees, saying that the plan sounded easier.

In the montage of Are You Okay trying to kill Pen; TV and Tennis Ball try to throw the knives at Pen but they end up stabbing each other on accident. Before Pen finally wakes up from his nightmare, TV along with his team members are circling around Pen before he screams, shocking all of them. When Two announces that Are You Okay are safe from elimination, TV declared that was good news.

Afterwards, TV sees an upset Pen on the ground and asks him what was wrong. Pen tells him that he’s upset that all the work done in his nightmare was not a reality and that he’s actually two hundred vigintillion dollars in debt in reality. TV expresses an extremely worried and concerned manner when Pen says this.

In "What's Up Bell's String?", TV's screen gets unintentionally broken by Basketball, causing him to catch fire and eventually set off Bomby's fuse, resulting in an explosion. Later, he is recovered, and the team swap begins. After the teams are randomly arranged, Pen becomes upset that he is on a different team from Eraser. TV comforts him, adding that he and Tennis Ball are there for him. Pen notices Tennis Ball's worried expression and asks what's wrong. TV explains that Tennis Ball and Golf Ball have never been on separate teams before, and then proceeds to calm Tennis Ball down as well.

TV in TPOT 12

Moments later, Basketball approaches TV and Tennis Ball, informing them that she saw what happened with Bell and Bomby. However, TV refuses to interact, saying that after what Basketball did to Robot Flower, he is too scared to be around her. Basketball understands and tries to tell them about her encounter with One. In response, TV displays a binary code on his screen (which interestingly translates to: “Hey there, I'm TV! If you're reading this then you're a pretty smart cookie”). However, this wasn't what Basketball meant, so she yells in frustration. Later, when it came to picking a team name, Tennis Ball requests that TV picks the name for them, and he eventually settles on "Bagged."

Subsequently, during the challenge, Needle squirts glue on TV and sticks Tree to him in response to Tree pushing Bottle into their pit. Tennis Ball, glad that TV has so much glue on him, suggests they use it as a tactic to trap more people. However, seconds later, Basketball is thrown onto the glue, and TV realises that one of their teammates is now trapped.

Basketball attempts to leave and go talk to Fanny but struggles due to being stuck to the glue. TV initiates an alert, saying that he is being kidnapped, and Tennis Ball tells them to stop. He adds glue to TV's leg and attaches his own leg to it, insisting that their team has to stick together.

Later, Snowball arrives, declaring that all of them are going into their pit, not immediately realising that he too is now glued to them. As he slowly walks towards the pit, he jumps in, taking everyone except Tree with him, and they all fall to their deaths. Bagged end up losing and they are put up for elimination.

In "Category One," Two introduces Bagged to their newest team member, Liy, and TV warmly greets her. Later, during the cake at stake, TV is revealed to be the fourth person safe with 19,155 votes. As part of the celebration, TV plays a clip of Flower dancing in "The Tweested Temple." When Two opens the door for the next prize, Roboty unexpectedly comes flying through and crashes directly onto TV, causing a brief moment of chaos.

Later, the contest begins. The challenge is to protect the hotel from the wildlife outside. Bagged are tasked with dealing with the giant David outside, so TV, Pen, Bottle, Liy and Tennis Ball make their way towards Basketball's aboveground factory to begin strategising.

There, Tennis Ball uses TV to present a detailed slideshow about the David, explaining their unpredictable nature and the range of their size, which can vary from 5 to 100 feet tall. He warns the team that Davids are easily agitated and that they must avoid provoking them at all costs. During the presentation, Tennis Ball makes an offhand comment about the David’s "disgusting layer of skin," which inadvertently agitates the David outside the hotel. Realizing his mistake, he quickly repeats the statement in a hushed tone to avoid further provocation.

To conclude the slideshow, Tennis Ball suggests that the only way to prevent the David from breaking into the hotel is by destroying him. However, Pen proposes a less violent approach—putting the David to sleep instead. TV agrees that putting the David to sleep is a viable solution as well, and Pen then asks what they could use to knock out the giant David, prompting Liy to chime in with an idea. She quickly ushers Pen and Bottle to follow her, leaving Tennis Ball and TV behind. As the former gazes outside, he notices that the David has been distracted by Golf Ball and Donut being flung away. This gives Tennis Ball an idea of how they might be able to take advantage of the situation to execute their plan.

Later, Pen, Liy, and Bottle return with Bottle now filled with milk, ready for the next phase of the plan. Tennis Ball gathers the group and proudly unveils his latest creation—an enhanced version of TV, which receives a round of applause from the trio. Tennis Ball then explains his strategy: they will send TV out as a distraction to draw the David away from the hotel. While the David is focused on TV; Pen, Liy, and Bottle will use the milk inside Bottle to put the David to sleep.

With the instructions clear, the four of them prepare to put their plan into action. Tennis Ball stays behind to operate TV remotely, using a controller to navigate him through the impending confrontation. TV, Pen, Liy and Bottle head out cautiously, determined to follow through with the plan while Tennis Ball stays behind to ensure that TV is ready to play his role as the decoy.

Outside, TV rolls into action, calling out to the David and waving its arms to get his attention. As planned, the massive figure notices TV and begins to lumber toward him, leaving the hotel behind. Pen, Liy and Bottle sneak behind, racing to catch up. Eventually, they manage to reach the David's mouth, and Liy carefully begins feeding him the milk from Bottle.

Everything seems to be going according to plan—until, suddenly, Tennis Ball's controller goes offline, and TV’s wheels get stuck by a vent. Despite this technical setback, the David starts to feel the effects of the milk and slowly dozes off. His gigantic form collapses to the ground with a thunderous crash, unfortunately landing directly on top of TV. An explosion erupts, sending debris flying. Even so, the plan worked—David is sound asleep, and the hotel is safe. As a result of this, Bagged are safe from elimination.

In "I SAID CAREFUL!!!," TV helps host the Cake at Stake alongside the failed debuters. Contestants who are safe have their photos taken, which are then displayed on TV's screen. Later, Two arrives, surprised to find the event was hosted without them. They ask TV who was eliminated, and when TV reveals that it was Gaty and Eraser who got out, Two is particularly upset by the former's elimination.

For the challenge, teams are tasked with retrieving a flag from either the summit of the mountain or the volcano to secure immunity. With the instructions clear, TV and his team swiftly head toward the mountain. Along the way, TV intentionally runs over Tree, forcing Pin to go back and recover him. While she does so, a clip from "Gardening Zero" plays on TV's screen, showing Teardrop in the real world as she reunites with her family.

Bagged reach the bottom of the mountain and notice Black Hole using his gravity powers to help his teammates ascend. This frustrates Liy, who sees it as cheating, and in response, she angrily throws Pen at Fanny. The latter falls to her death, which upsets Marker, while TV laughs at the chaos.

Just then, Basketball steps in, as TV awkwardly retreats. She shares an idea: they’ll order jetpacks from Robot Flower's shop to help them ascend the mountain. Once the order is placed, Robot Flower swiftly leaves and returns with the jetpacks. As the team prepares to use them, Pin steps forward, refusing to let them use the jetpacks because Robot Flower was her teammate, not theirs. A heated argument breaks out between Pin and Bagged over the jetpacks until Black Hole intervenes, taking both Pin and all but one of the jetpacks with him.

TV in TPOT 14

With only one jetpack left, the group struggle to come up with a plan to make it work. After some brainstorming, they come up with a new strategy: TV will wear the jetpack, and the others will hold onto him in a chain. Liy helps TV strap on the jetpack while the rest of the group links up, and together they take off.

At first, the plan seems to work well, but as they ascend, they soon realize that their combined weight is too much for the jetpack to handle. Panic sets in as TV struggles to maintain control. Eventually, they manage to land safely near a cabin, but it's clear that the jetpack is no longer a viable option for continuing their climb.

The group consider climbing the rest of the way on foot, but they quickly realize that the slope is too steep for them to continue. Tennis Ball exclaims that they need supplies to help them progress and their attention turns to the cabin, hoping it might have what they need. Everyone agrees with the idea, but just as they're about to proceed, Snowball appears. He throws a massive pile of snow at them before leading his own team into the cabin.

Later, Pen and Basketball are seen helping TV out of the snow, and once he's free, the group cheers in celebration. Their loud voices, however, cause the ground beneath them to tremble, which immediately raises Tennis Ball's concern. TV displays a message on his screen indicating that a discovery has been made. Following the arrow on TV's screen, Liy spots a nearby sign that reads, "No Avalanche!". The group collectively sighs in relief, but as more snow falls off the sign, it reveals the full message: "Notice: Avalanche!"

Panic spreads through the group, but Pen quickly comes up with a solution. He suggests buying climbing supplies from Robot Flower's shop. Ignoring Basketball’s warnings not to proceed, Pen pulls out his phone and places the order. Before anyone can stop him, the transaction is completed, and the order is on its way.

Just then, Robot Flower speeds down the mountain en route to the hotel to retrieve Pen's package and deliver it. However, her rapid descent triggers an avalanche. Thinking quickly, the group rushes to a nearby cabin for shelter and manage to get inside just in time before the snow completely blocks the entrance. Unfortunately, they now find themselves trapped, as the snow barricades the only exit.

Inside the cabin, tensions rise as they argue with Team 2, who accuse Bagged of causing the avalanche. The confrontation escalates into a heated fight until Tennis Ball points out that they’re all stuck together, suggesting the kill-recover trick as a way to escape. Ice Cube immediately questions who would recover them and why, leaving Tennis Ball struggling for an answer. Frustrated, Ice Cube accuses him of dooming everyone and slams him into the wall. The argument intensifies until the floor beneath them suddenly collapses, sending both teams tumbling into a deep pit below.

In the pit, Grassy is briefly seen playing a game on TV's screen as the others struggle to find a way out. The tense atmosphere soon devolves into chaos as the two teams begin hurling snowballs at each other. The commotion causes icicles to fall from the ceiling, followed by heaps of snow, revealing members of Death P.A.C.T Yet Again buried beneath. Joining the fray, Death P.A.C.T Yet Again intensifies the struggle as the teams fight mercilessly, each vying for the mountain flag.

Amid the chaos, the teams collectively remember their objective: finding the flag. Upon this realization, all three teams dive into the snow, frantically searching. Ultimately, Grassy emerges victorious, securing the flag and immunity for Team 2. With the mountain flag claimed, attention shifts to the volcano, where the second flag awaits at the summit. The teams spot CloudYAY rapidly closing in on the flag, making it seem impossible to catch up. Dreading CloudYAY's seemingly inevitable victory, the teams form a temporary alliance to sabotage them.

Acting quickly, Grassy shoves Snowball, causing him to merge with the surrounding snow. Everyone jumps on top of him, creating a massive snowball that gains momentum as it rolls downhill. The snowball's size grows uncontrollably until it drives off a cliff, sending many contestants plummeting to their demise on impact. Fortunately, TV is among the few characters who survive the fall.

All the contestants who perished are quickly recovered by Two, including CloudYAY members Pencil, Pillow, and Donut. The trio soon realize that the other teams have formed an alliance against them, sparking a chaotic brawl between CloudYAY and the allied teams. Amid the escalating chaos, Liy spots Golf Ball and Yellow Face sprinting toward the volcano. Without hesitation, she alerts the rest of Bagged, and they break away from the fight to pursue them. Tennis Ball instructs everyone to hop on TV, who activates his wheels to pick up speed and close the distance.

All of Bagged on TV

By the time Bagged arrives, Yellow Face has already crossed to the other side of a precarious bridge spanning a river of molten lava. As they begin crossing, Yellow Face starts shaking the bridge violently. The tremors cause both Liy and Tennis Ball to lose their footing, sending them plummeting into the lava below. Enraged, TV retaliates by driving over Yellow Face, giving way for the rest of his teammates. With the path momentarily clear, Basketball, Bottle, and Pen manage to cross safely.

The group continue their climb up the treacherous volcano, but their progress is halted by a fearsome lava monster that appears out of nowhere and effortlessly kills Basketball. Thinking quickly, Pen apologizes to Bottle for what he’s about to do. He shatters her by throwing her at the lava monster, and her shards fly into its mouth. This action causes the monster to choke and retreat into the molten depths. TV briefly mourns Bottle’s sacrifice, but Pen urges him to keep moving forward, reminding him that the flag is still unclaimed and time is running out.

With only two members of their team remaining, Pen and TV race toward the summit, desperation fueling their every move. As they arrive, the two find Winner, seconds away from claiming the flag for CloudYAY. Thinking quickly, Pen lunges forward, pulling Winner back just in time to keep the flag out of their grasp. TV cheers triumphantly and begins making his way toward the flag as his screen flashes celebratory messages.

Suddenly, a massive plant that had been trailing the group reveals itself, looming menacingly above them. In a swift motion, the plant devours Pen whole before spitting out his cap and sending it flying through the air. As TV is mere inches from claiming the flag, Pen's cap strikes his screen, shattering it. Disoriented, TV stumbles and loses his footing as he plummets to his death.

With no opposition left, Winner seizes the moment and grabs the flag, securing immunity for CloudYAY. Despite the combined efforts of Team 2, Bagged, and Death P.A.C.T Yet Again; CloudYAY emerges victorious. As the dust settles, the reality sinks in: Bagged and Death P.A.C.T Yet Again have failed to claim a flag, leaving them both vulnerable to elimination. TV, having met his end during the chaos, is among those placed at risk of elimination.

Competition[]

  • In BFDIA, TV got the most votes out of the contestants who failed to join.
  • TV was the last ever contestant to enter the TLC.
    • Coincidentally, TV was sent to the LOL in the first and last instances of it ever being used. He was sent there with the other failed debuters in "Reveal Novum" and then was sent inside before it was locked forever in "Intruder Alert".
  • TV is one of the two contestants who have told the viewers not to vote for them to be eliminated (albeit indirectly), the other is Flower.
  • TV is the only BFB newbie on Are You Okay.
  • As of "The Great Goikian Bake-Off", TV has gone the longest out of the Are You Okay members without ever being voted off for their first time.
  • TV is the highest ranking recommended character on Are You Okay.
  • TV has never been on a team without Tennis Ball.
  • "Category One" marks the first time where TV isn't one of the first three contestants safe.
  • "Seasonal Shift" marks his first time being in the bottom 2.
  • TV is the highest ranking mechanical mind in TPOT.
  • As of "Seasonal Shift", TV has gone the longest out of any mechanical mind without getting voted out for the first time.

General[]

  • TV is also called Telly in his joining audition.
  • TV is the first of many contestants to host a season.
    • In BFDIA, TV is the only one who hosted from both outside and inside the TLC.
  • As seen in "Today's Very Special Episode", TV can retract his legs into his body at will.
  • Apparently, TV's tongue has a static effect when his tongue is off his body as shown on his favorite screen in "Yeah, Who? I Wanna Know".
    • This shot is also the only time TV's face was shown in the entirety of BFDIA.
  • In "Four Goes Too Far" and "The Worst Day of Black Hole's Life", TV shows the elimination votes, as well as the debut votes in "You Know Those Buttons Don't Do Anything, Right?", just like in BFDIA.
  • Despite being a television, TV acts more like a computer, as he has the ability to calculate votes and other properties of physics such as acoustic reverberation, none of which are the type of characteristics a real-life television could do.
    • Though, this might suggest that TV is a smart TV, it would not only vastly outpace the technology from the year which he was properly integrated into the BFDI canon, 2012, but would also contradict his own species, being a flatscreen plasma television.
    • TV can also chain video clips together on his own to imitate speech, something that is also impossible to do on a real-life television without laboriously altering it.
  • "Today's Very Special Episode" marks the first time TV has spoken. (Most other noises made by TV were from either random noises or someone screaming, or the mechanic voices used for announcing Cake at Stake, but now he has a proper voice.)
  • In "Today's Very Special Episode", The Liar Ball You Don't Want, "Fishes and Dishes", "The Great Goikian Bake-Off", and "Balancing P.A.C.T.", he was voiced by a text-to-speech voice.
    • "Fishes and Dishes" was the first time he spoke more than one line in text-to-speech in a single episode.
  • TV gained a Scottish accent in "The Liar Ball You Don't Want".
  • In "Return of the Rocket Ship" to "The Worst Day of Black Hole's Life", TV spoke using clips from previous episodes to talk, though Kenzie Bryant was credited as the one who "voiced" him.
    • This is because she was the one responsible for assembling the clips into TV.[2]
    • However, she is no longer listed under Kenzie in TPOT's credits following being laid off as a TPOT showrunner by Jacknjellify during July 2022.
  • TV has had several instances of "talking" without text-to speech or lines via clips:
    • He sings three Cake at Stake songs in BFDIA.
    • He says "horgly worgly" with Robot Flower in BFB 3.
  • He is the only mechanical mind whose name doesn't begin with an "R".
  • He is the contestant with the shortest name, having only two letters.
  • TV named Team No-Name in "Get Digging" as he displayed their name on his screen when judging the yoylestews.
  • As shown in the stinger of "Four Goes Too Far", TV has the ability to act as a mirror.
  • TV is the first character to appear in TPOT.
  • At the end of the TPOT intro, TV shows the Utah teapot in reference to the show's acronym. The Utah teapot is a common 3D test model that is an in-joke among the computer graphics community.
  • Based on the Announcer's story, TV is the only character who was aware of the Announcer's presence back on Earth before he revealed himself in "B.F.B. = Back From Beginning".
  • "Fishes and Dishes" reveals that TV is a touchscreen television.
  • "The Great Goikian Bake-Off", marks the first time where TV showed no clips from previous episodes in order to communicate.
  • "The Great Goikian Bake-Off" is the first time his screen is shown to crack.
  • A prototype version of TV's body is seen in "Are You Smarter Than a Snowball?".
  • TV makes a cameo appearance during the Screaming Contest in BFDI Mini Delicious.
  • "Fishes and Dishes" marks the first time TV speaks with his face on-screen, albeit a pixelated version.
  • It was previously unknown why TV was in the TLC in IDFB, but it was later revealed in "Intruder Alert" that he was sent because of his poorly made Cake at Stake theme despite having a high budget.
