Simon the Pieman is a villain created for The Adventures of Batman. He says "Simon says" whenever he gives orders to his henchmen.
History[]
He and his gang imprison Joker, Penguin, Riddler, Catwoman and Mr. Freeze in a hidden cell and Simon names himself "The Kingpin of Crime" and began organizing pie-related crimes. His first crime was stealing the Wayne diamonds from a fashion show but were recovered by Batman and Robin. While investigating an art museum, Robin was captured by Simon and his gang and tied him up under a grinding stone of a window, and more of Simon's men capture Batgirl after catching her snooping around their hideout.
After learning of Robin's capture, Batman arrived at the windmill in the Batcopter and rescued him, but Simon and his gang escape in their helicopter. The Dynamic Duo followed in the Batcopter, but the villains dump flour from their helicopter to create a flour-screen to cover their escape. Back at his hideout, Simon orders his goons to place Batgirl in a chocolate icing tank. After the Dynamic Duo located Simon's second lair, the crooked pieman places Batman in a giant mixing bowl of a giant eggbeater and Robin in a vat of butter placed on top an electric heater. As Simon and his gang celebrate their victory, Batman escapes the eggbeater and saves Robin from sinking into the melting butter, and together, they rescue Batgirl from the chocolate tank and empties it onto Simon and his gang. After a fight, the heroes trap Simon and his gang with the imprisoned villains, and Chief O'Hara arrived to apprehend all the villains.
Simon returns with his gang to steal four million Turkish coins. After learning of Simon's return, Batman, Robin and Batgirl track him to his new hideout at a fairy tale fun park, but Simon and his gang capture the heroes and placed them in three different deathtraps: Batman over a pot of peas porridge, Robin on a spinning wheel of candles with dynamite sticks tied to his legs, and Batgirl in a giant pumpkin. However, Batman escapes his deathtrap, rescued Robin and freed Batgirl. Simon and his gang escape in their flying saucer to a power plant. Batgirl follows them and sends a makeshift Bat-Signal with the plant's searchlight to Batman and Robin, but she gets captured by Simon who ties her to a platform bound to stretch her but was foiled by the Dynamic Duo. After a brief scuffle, Simon and his goons were apprehended by Commissioner Gordon, and the Turkish coins were recovered.
