Afterwards, he was given an episode assignment in which he thought was good, and handed it to the head writer at the time, Stephen White. White questioned if Weiner had enough time to write the episode as Weiner had a difficult time writing for the series, as he couldn't get his writing to be simple enough for the series. Weiner desired to write more for the series, but he was unable to do so given that his writing couldn't fit with the series at the time.[1]
