Ziatar is a female half-dragon fighter/cleric of green-dragon blood who belongs to the Cyric cult dwelling in the ruined Temple of Bhaal near Boareskyr Bridge. She is the half-sister of Morentherene.

You are an affront to all I believe in!

Interactions[]

When initially spoken to, Ziatar can be coaxed into revealing that the Cyricists at the temple have come under attack in some fashion, but she will inevitably become hostile.

Combat[]

Ziatar battles with a Two-Handed Sword +1 (despite her class restrictions) and cleric spellcasting, as well as the ability to exhale her own poisonous breath weapon. In the beginning, she will cast Armor of Faith, Defensive Harmony, Draw Upon Holy Might and Resist Fire and Cold all together on herself, in some kind of contigency. Then she will start attacking either with Dragon Fear, Green Dragon Breath, Unholy Blight, Greater Command, Entangle, and other spells, or with melee attacks in her attempt to take the party down. When she has taken enough damage, she will make skilled use of her Sanctuary and healing spells to keep herself alive.

Usually all surviving cultists in the temple will also become hostile when she does, but there might be exceptions.

Loot[]

Notes[]

  • Ziatar's relationship with Morentherene can only be learned if the player kills the green dragon before talking to the half-dragon. If they pick a dialog option mentioning Morentherene's death, Ziatar's reaction is to explode in fury, denouncing them for their murder of her sister before attacking.

Trivia[]

  • Being a cleric multi-class, Ziatar normally should not be able to use a two-handed sword or any other edged or pointy weapon.
  • She also has a Wand of the Heavens in one of her quick-item slots, but it is unidentified, so she probably cannot use it; she normally should not even be able to have it equipped like that. It has three charges when identified.

Gameplay (community)[]

  • Dispelling her Sanctuary would be a good counter-measure. -- Added by Hazif (talkcontribs)
  • If you don't want to bother killing them all for some extra experience and loot, some of those cultists can be ignored, like those near Ziatar's private space, who can be kept inside their room with the door closed. Your other options with them are to dispatch them before or after dealing with the half-dragon, or to let them join the battle defending her, if they see one of your party when they go hostile. Or some of them could be charmed, and used against Ziatar and/or other cultists. There are many options, basically anything goes. But without cultists reinforcing her, Ziatar might prove to be a relatively easy foe. -- Added by Hazif (talkcontribs)
