The Sword of Chaos, also known as Sarevok's Sword of Chaos, is an enchanted two-handed sword that can be acquired in the Shadows of Amn. It is the sword that originally belonged to Sarevok, arch-villain of Baldur's Gate.

Acquisition[]
This weapon is found in Irenicus' Dungeon, where it is the reward for bringing the Genie's Flask to the enslaved Genie in the Plane of Air.
As with all equipment, this weapon may be brought into the Throne of Bhaal.
Gameplay[]
- The life leech works by adding an extra point of slashing damage, which is then converted into HP. Because the extra damage is dealt after the regular damage, it will not leech off a killing blow.
Siege of Dragonspear content[]
In Siege of Dragonspear, it is mentioned that the Sword is stolen from Gorion's Ward. During the campaign various hints are provided that the sword was sold to someone in Amn and that the buyer's interest might have been for the blood samples from the protagonist on the blade. This is another thread by which the two original parts are connected by the new episode.
