Sling of Seeking +2 – The sling's enchantment factor is 2, with this same value applied as bonus to THAC0 and damage of the wielder, no matter which bullets are used.

Sling of Seeking +1 – The sling's enchantment factor is reduced to 1, while still retaining the original -2 bonus to THAC0. If no bullets are equipped, the sling deals 1D4+2 points of damage. With bullets equipped, the sling adds those same 1D4+2 to the bullet damage. Purely in terms of damage, it performs just as well as the much more expensive Sling of Everard. Of course, there is a 3 point difference in THAC0 and (provided that no bullets are equipped) a 4 point difference in the enchantment level of the expelled projectiles.

In the original game, the reason for the popularity of the Sling of Seeking lay in its ability to use the damage bonus from a wielder's high Strength score. In the Enhanced Edition, this is a feature shared by all slings, which is why this Sling's nature and description were changed.

Description[]

Unlike most other slings, the Sling of Seeking is capable of throwing stones and allowing a strength bonus to be applied to the damage it inflicts. Although the sling is magical, giving it a bonus to hit and to damage, it is capable of inflicting strength damage due to its design, not magic.

— Shadows of Amn

Unlike most other slings, the Sling of Seeking does not require ammunition of any kind. With no missiles equipped, the sling fires magical ammunition in the form of +1 bullets, making it an ideal weapon to use against magically protected foes. It can also fire normal ammunition.
