Niklos is a member of the local thieves guild in the city of Baldur's Gate. He's found standing in the street on the left side of the Elfsong Tavern in East Baldur's Gate. He will offer Gorion's Ward 50 
to follow him into the guild headquarters and meet with his boss, Alatos "Ravenscar" Thuibuld.

- A Journal entry under the title "Niklos's Master" will appear in the quest section the first time you speak with Niklos. Once you speak with Alatos it will disappear and be replaced with the Alatos and the Thieves' Guild quest. However, if you don't accept Niklos's offer, it will remain as a finished quest even if you do eventually speak to Alatos and accept his quest.
- If you don't speak with Niklos and accept Alatos quest, Niklos will have disappeared when you go back to the streets.
