A Wraith is an undead creature of evil and darkness, hating the light and all living things. Wraiths can spawn randomly in any number of areas where other types of undead appear in the Baldur's Gate games, sometimes summoned by enemy Wizards or Priests.

Gameplay[]

Wraiths are under a constant Blur overlay visual effect (does not grant the actual Blur spell abilities).

They can attack twice per round, inflicting 1d6 Slashing damage; their attack weapon is considered a magical +4 weapon with a range of one foot, and speed factor of zero.[1]

On each successful hit upon the target, one Level is drained (no saving throw). The attack bypasses magic resistance, and the effect cannot be dispelled. However, lost levels can be restored.

Locations[]

Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn[]

Note[]

The Wraith and Greater Wraith are not immune to Poison or Poison damage. They are Undead, so this might be a miscoding in the creature file. No one knows for sure, but it is an aberration from the other game Undead creature files.
