During the course of the Baldur's Gate series, multiple assassins will be sent after the protagonist, some of them having bounty notices with increasing reward amounts listed in the notice, which reflect the growing power of the protagonist. By Chapter Five, the ogre mages in South Baldur's Gate, who don't possess a notice, do mention that the bounty has risen to 10,000
