The roads which are unconsumed by snow appear decrepit and cobbled together, and the few vehicles distributed throughout are distortedly shaped and rundown. Safe at Last is believed to be one of the smallest levels of the Backrooms, but it cannot feasibly be explored to its fullest due to the difficulty of entry.
No house seems to belong in the neighborhood of Safe at Last. A single street might accommodate over twenty unique styles of architecture, but each window is equally gloomy. Internally, the houses maintain similar layouts and appliances, as well as unsavory, decaying foodstuffs. Every household presents a street address of 789 in platinum, its significance being unknown. A mysterious subway station is located somewhere underneath the neighborhood. it is widely posited that the metro may function as an exit from the level, though exactly where it leads is undetermined. Consistent means of accessing the metro have yet to be discovered, with the reported ones being unpredictable at best. Frequently, holographic subways arrive and depart within the vicinity. The arrival and departure occur at unchanging intervals, akin to a looping video. Nevertheless, a tangible subway will rarely materialize, whose doors will open.
