Level 941, also known as “Holiday Spirit”, is the 942nd level of the Backrooms. Loading audio, refresh page if this doesn't go away...
Description
Level 941 takes the appearance of a home that has been decorated for Christmas. While the house on the outside looks like any ordinary home, on the inside there seems to be more rooms than shown. The house has the layout of a mansion or a large estate. Most of the rooms in the house (specifically the living rooms and bedrooms) have fireplaces in them, which give those in the room a calming feeling. The reason for the calm inducing effect is yet to be explained.
There is a stereo in every room (in this house) which if turned on, will start playing Christmas music. An important thing to note is that the stereo in the basement should never be turned on, otherwise it will emit such a deafening pitch, it will cause damage to one's ear. Luckily, the basement is soundproof so the noise won't reach anywhere outside the basement. Unfortunately, one’s screams won't be heard either.
The kitchen in the house is always full of food, with food and drinks being what you would find at a Christmas dinner (turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, Jell-O, apple cider, gravy, a veggie tray, etc.), along with Almond Water and one’s favorite drink.
Next to the kitchen is the Dining Room. The table is a long table and can have up to 12 people at the table at a time (5 on each side and 1 on each end). The tablecloth and chairs are all plain white, and if food is dropped onto them, it never leaves a stain. Each seat has at least one plate and bowl, both of which are fine china and can be white, green, or red, in spirit of Christmas. Two forks, a spoon, and a butter knife rest on the plate's side and are on top of a white napkin. In the middle of the table is more food, 1 candle-holder (each with 3 sticks), and one candle snuffer.
On the other side of the kitchen is the Living Room. The living room by itself is huge. There is an 85-inch TV with red and white couches, along with off-brand game consoles (such as the Ybox, Fantendo Lever, and Fantendo Bii). In the middle of the room is a coffee table with a rug under it, along with some coasters for drinks. A bathroom is located nearby. The bathroom is only a half-bathroom, so it doesn't have a shower. In the corner of this Living Room is a large Christmas tree with presents under it. These presents do have names, and unless your name (first and last) is on the present, opening one will take you to somewhere… special...
If one goes upstairs, they will reach the bedrooms and bathrooms. However unlike the rest of the rooms, except for the needed necessities like a shower to make a bathroom a bathroom, and a bed to make a bedroom, a bedroom.
The outside is covered in a soft blanket of snow, and has a temperature of (around) 20 degrees Fahrenheit. Before one exits the house, it is important to grab a coat from the rack near the front door (on the inside) as it keeps one warm. However, if one wears it for too long one will start to get burns on their body. The street that the house is on is a dirt path, which leads through a very snowy forest of pine trees. If one enters the forest, they will find themselves eventually returning to the house no matter which direction they travel in.
If you wander far enough, one might find a campsite within the forest, which is always occupied by a family of Facelings. If they spot a person, they will ask if they want to join. There is no wrong answer here, as joining them will make one feel loved and has a positive mental effect while saying no will still allow one to freely go back to the house.
The Festive Town
If one wanders down the road (marked as “Maple Road” by a street sign) for a seemingly random distance without falling victim to the "return-to-the-house effect", they will reach a town populated by docile Facelings, many of which run shops. All of the buildings are decorated with Christmas decorations similar to those in (and on) the house. The following is a list of notable locations in the town:
(It should be noted that all Frontrooms currencies are the only currencies accepted at the shops. Bargaining or using Backrooms “money” will fail, and thievery will result in the Facelings turning hostile.)
- "The Family Food Market": The town’s grocery store, located on Main Street just south of Maple Road. It sells a variety of food from both the Frontrooms and the Backrooms at varying prices (all currencies are accepted, but bargaining is not). The market also sells a brand of cereal named "Festive O's", which has an extremely sweet berry-type flavor. The cereal is known to give an energy increase, yet in low quantities, it is recommended to obtain it.
- A skating rink, located on Bared Drive. Skating on it is free, and skates can be obtained for a low cost.
- Next to the skating rink is a huge patch of trees with a stand reading, "Buy A Christmas Tree 100% Off!" When one asks the Facelings running the stand if they can have a tree, they will hand the person an axe and point them towards the fields to go cut down a tree.
- There is a school full of young Facelings in the town which is a combination of a high school, middle school, and an elementary school split into their respective sections. The young Facelings are not hostile, they have a tendency to try to provoke humans into attacking them, which will cause them to become hostile in self-defense.
- There is a candy store at the end of Hillside Boulevard, which young Facelings Most of the candy it sells is peppermint flavored for the holiday. The shop sells “Almond Candy”, which has similar effects to Almond Water.
The town’s neighborhoods are full of Facelings playing in the snow, setting up decorations, and doing other holiday or winter activities. The inside of the houses also look like the mansion that wanderers enter this level in.
The Festive Mine
Located at the end of Main Street is a mine with Facelings working there. If one asks, they can receive a tour of the mine.
The mine is filled with festive crystals colored white, green, and red, with some being combinations of the colors. If one asks the workers what the crystals are for, they will say they generate the scents, power lights on the streets, and power decorations in the town and houses. They will say that the crystals smell like peppermint, and when powered start to glow. All of this has been confirmed by M.E.G..
When one goes further into the mine, they will come across a small underground pond with crystals sticking out of it, which light the pond amazingly well. The mine is full of decorations like the rest of the level, with Christmas lights carved into the walls and ceiling. The mine seems to go on for an infinite distance, and the only way to get back to the surface is to tell the workers that you are done with the tour. When you do this, they will return you to the surface.

Below is an audio log discovered in Level 914 by a unnamed wanderer.
(Nothing but static on the other end)
Wanderer: Hello?
(Silence)
Wanderer: Radio must be out, well I guess I should enter this awfully cheery-looking house.
(A loud bang can be heard, presumed to be the wanderer opening the doors.)
Wanderer: Wow! Where am I? Is this some sort of mansion? It’s so festive…
Wanderer: Has this been explored yet?
(Footsteps can be heard)
Wanderer: Hey, the Christmas tree is up. Wonder when Christmas is.
(Sigh of relief can be heard)
Wanderer: This campfire is really nice. Oh—have I been on this the entire time? Whoops.

Entities
Facelings are the only known entities in this level, though there has been one report of a Skin-Stealer and a Deathmoth. The cause of these Facelings being docile are still unknown.
It should be noted that, while the Facelings are normally docile, attempting to harm them or rob them will result in them becoming hostile for a random amount of time. In addition, one wanderer has claimed that a similar effect can be achieved by playing “All I Want for Christmas is You” by Mariah Carey, but this is currently unconfirmed.
