A Dance with Dragons
Raymund is made a captive when Griffin's Roost is taken by Jon Connington and the Golden Company, along with his sister Alynne and their bastard nephew Ronald Storm. Jon feels that the three will make useful hostages should Ronnet attempt to retake the castle. Jon orders that Raymund and the other young Conningtons be confined under guard in the west tower of Griffin's Roost. That night, Jon has Raymund and the other young Conningtons as guests at the victory feast, in hopes of getting to know his relatives. However, when Ronald tells Jon that his father will kill him, Jon sends the children back to their cells.[1]
