Dr. Ivo Kintobor (formerly known as Anti-Robotnik) is Dr. Ivo Robotnik's counterpart from Moebius. He possesses Robotnik's genius and technical expertise, but unlike Robotnik, he is a kindly and pacifistic veterinarian who protects innocent moebians from Scourge the Hedgehog and the Suppression Squad. He runs his operations from a tower in the Grand Forest that is protected by a force-field and serves as a hospital for all those injured by the Suppression Squad.
During his tenure, he would constantly be antagonized by the Anti-Freedom Fighters. One day though, he briefly encountered Sonic Prime during his first trip to Anti-Mobius, whom he ended up helping with a crisis back home after his patients captured Anti-Sonic. As Anti-Sonic, now known as Scourge, took over Moebius, Kintobor made his clinic a safe-haven for all who feared Scourge's new rule. Unfortunately, the Suppression Squad eventually stole Kintobor's Zone-hopping technology and used it to invade Mobius. Afterwards, Kintobor worked with Sonic and Amy to defeat Scourge and get his invention back.

Sonic Origins[]
During the Anti-Freedom Fighters' reign of anarchy, Anti-Robotnik would pick up the pieces by running a veterinarian clinic in the Great Forest to heal and protect various Anti-mobians who had been attacked by the Anti-Freedom Fighters. This would earn him Anti-Sonic's ire. (StH: #11)
Dr. Ivo Robotnik's Tyranny[]
Around the time of 3235, Anti-Robotnik and his clinic would constantly be targeted by the Anti-Freedom Fighters. One day though, Anti-Robotnik encountered Sonic Prime at his clinic while at work. Mistaking him for Anti-Sonic, he had his patients attempt to capture him, only for Sonic to run away. When Sonic later returned with Anti-Sonic, the former got Anti-Robotnik to order his patients to get him, only to capture Anti-Sonic instead. When Sonic had later explained the situation to Anti-Robotnik and had to head home, the doctor gave him a physical and a device to clean up some pollution back on Mobius. (StH: #11)
Zone Wars[]
To protect his clinic from further assaults from the Anti-Freedom Fighteers, Anti-Robotnik eventually created a force-field to keep the group out. Additionally, Anti-Robotnik employed SWEEPbots to clean up litter left behind by the Anti-Freedom Fighters. (SSS: #10)
Helping Sonic and Amy[]
Years later, Anti-Robotnik (now going by the name Dr. Ivo Kintobor) once again encountered Sonic Prime when he and Amy Rose journeyed to Moebius in order to find assistance against Scourge and his Suppression Squad. Calling off Buns Rabbot from her attack, Anti Robotnik explained to her the two weren't enemies. He then proceeded to explain how he'd constructed the Omega Care Unit to prevent Buns's Neuro-Immuno Deficiency Syndrome (NIDS) from spreading throughout her body, and that the Suppression Squad had stolen his Globe Posts, which he'd created to travel to other zones to find new medical techniques to help cure NIDS. Asking him for help, Sonic and Amy were later directed by Buns to seek out Anti Amy to defeat the Suppression Squad, though Anti Robotnik objected to this due to her insanity. However, he later allowed Buns to accompany Sonic and Amy in their attempt to recruit Rosy, though he continued to worry about Buns's safety. (StH: #193)
Following the successful defeat of Scourge, Anti Robotnik's Globe Posts were returned to him by the Suppression Squad under Buns's watch. As the Freedom Fighters returned to Mobius Prime, he personally thanked Sonic for his help and then transported him to the No Zone where Scourge would be imprisoned by the Zone Cops. Appearance[]

As the Moebius counterpart of Dr. Ivo Robotnik, Kintobor shared many physical similarities with Robotnik for some time. As such, he was depicted as a tall Overlander of imposing girth with a bald head, a ginger mustache, and black eyes with crimson irises. However, he lacked a roboticized left arm from the shoulder and down. However, he eventually slimmed down drastically, becoming an incredible skinny and well-proportioned overlander with a more round head while maintaining his mustache. He was also initially depicted with four fingers, but was later shown having five fingers. (StH: #11, SSS: #10)
Originally, Kintobor's attire consisted of a red jumpsuit, a gray pair of boots, a white doctor's coat, and a head mirror. He would later adopt a new set of attire consisting of a red shirt, gray gloves, and yellow pants. Following Scourge's reformation of Moebius, Kintobor's attire changed again, consisting of a clear set of mirrored pince nez glasses, a red shirt with a yellow cape attached, white gloves, and black one-piece pants similar to Dr. Eggman's. Personality[]
Kintobor possesses many of the same qualities as Robotnik Prime, but all mirrored and twisted around. While possessing Robotnik Prime's determination, ambition, and steadfast refusal to give up despite the odds being against him, Robotnik Prime was cruel, sadistic, cantankerous, and very egotistical whereas Kintobor is a benevolent, kind, and gentle man who wants to keep the good people of Moebius safe while using his genius to develop more advanced medical techniques for the betterment of others. Much unlike Robotnik Prime, he also loves nature and stands against pollution and littering, a drive of which has made him deploy SWEEPbots to clean up the messes left behind by the Suppression Squad. Kintobor's first and foremost concern is the well-being of others, even if it includes his enemies, having come to the aid of Buns Rabbot despite their shared past. He is also a pacifist, as he opposes violent means in general and refuses to give his Omega Care Unit, which is meant for healing, anything other than non-lethal weaponry. That said, he is willing to see through fingers with violence by having others do the fighting for him when a credible threat is present. (StH: #11, #193, SSS: #10)
Abilities[]
Kintobor's shares many of Robotnik Prime's skills, the most notable of which is his genius-level intellect. This has allowed him to craft numerous inventions, from robots such as the SWEEPbots and the Omega Care Unit, to Zone-hopping technology like the Globe Posts. His bread and butter, however, is medical science, having most notably invented the technology to keep cases of N.I.D.S. in check. (StH: #11, #193, SSS: #10)
Background information[]
- Although Kintobor is the alternate counterpart to Robotnik Prime, his current appearance looks more like that of Dr. Eggman.
- Similar to Rosy the Rascal, Kintobor's current attire draws heavily from the classic character design of the original Dr. Eggman from the Sonic the Hedgehog video games.
- It was said in an unofficial role-palying Q&A with Ian Flynn that Dr. Kintobor was formerly very fond of gardening and poetry during the days of the Great Peace, but has been too busy as of late to continue them. [1]
- Kintobor currently holds the longest resolved non-appearance gap in the Sonic the Hedgehog series at 182 issues (Sonic the Hedgehog #11-#193), and the third longest overall. He did, however, appear in Sonic Super Special #10, which is outside the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series.
- Anti-Robotnik is very similar to Dr. Ovi Kintobor from Fleetway's Sonic the Comic series, being a thin man, a good version of Robotnik, and a peaceful humanitarian.
