Cluck was one of Dr. Ivo Robotnik's earliest badniks and, for a time, one of the doctor's most trusted badnik henchmen.

Sonic Origins[]

In 3225, Cluck was with Robotnik onboard the latter's flagship just as the doctor launched the coup and took over Mobotropolis. (StH: #72)

When Sonic went to deliver two-hundred chili dogs to Robotnik, Inc., Cluck answered the door, not expecting Sonic to actually deliver the chili dogs. He proceeded to slam the door in Sonic's face and attempted to drop a checkered wrecking ball on him, but missed. (OSM: #0)

Some time later, Cluck was used by Robotnik, who trusted him more than Snively to handle his machines, to activate the Time-Immobilizing Ray, which successfully froze all of the Mobians in the Great Forest for a time. (SSS: #5)

Dr. Ivo Robotnik's Tyranny[]

In 3235, Cluck was in the company of Dr. Ivo Robotnik when the latter received a rapport on the Knothole Freedom Fighters. (StH: #10)

Appearance[]

Cluck is a robot base on a mobini chicken, albeit with a large and jagged break. Originally, he was depicted with a white, orange and gray color scheme and red eyes, but was later shown having an orange, yellow and red color scheme and white eyes, and an orange and dark orange color scheme after that. Personality[]

Sapient and capable of speech, Cluck is a rude and malevolent machine with no regard for mobian life. (OSM: #0)

Background Information[]

• Cluck originates from the first season of the Sonic the Hedgehog television series in a pet-like role to Robotnik. However, he was removed from the show by the time of the second season.
• Cluck's first appearance was in Sonic Miniseries #0 on the cast list for the villains on the first page. However, the canonicity of the events in this issue were largely undermined by later changes to the story. Cluck was also present on a flip-out poster in Sonic Miniseries #1 but did not appear elsewhere in that issue. He was also present on the cover of Sonic the Hedgehog #1 but did not appear anywhere within the issue itself.
