The Omega Care Unit (alternatively named the Omega Peace Unit) is a medical suit created by Ivo Kintobor to care for Buns Rabbot and is the alternate counterpart of E-123 Omega. Buns protects Dr. Kintobor in the suit after he saved her from her Neuro-Immuno Deficiency Syndrome by building it for her. When Sonic and Amy Rose came looking for assistance against Scourge the Hedgehog and his Suppression Squad, she mistook him for Scourge and attacked him and Amy after they came out of a dimensional portal into Dr. Kintobor's home. Buns later accompanied them to Anti Castle Acorn in the suit to find Rosy the Rascal, otherwise known as the Anti Amy, to defeat Scourge. Anti Amy was insane, though, and attacked them, damaging the Omega Care Unit in the battle. Buns then flew back to Dr. Kintobor's tower with the power still left in the Omega Unit and the doctor fully repaired it.

Creation[]
After Buns Rabbot was kicked out and left for dead by the Anti Freedom Fighters as a result of her contracting NIDS, she was rescued by Anti Robotnik, who placed her in the Omega care unit to prevent her NIDS from spreading. To repay him, Buns served as the protector of the kindly Anti Robotnik. (StH: #193)
Assistance Against the Suppression Squad[]
A while after, Buns mistook Sonic for Scourge, (because of a minor flaw in the suit, she couldn't see colors properly), and attacked him and Amy Rose, after they came out of a dimensional portal into Anti Robotnik's home to try and find assistance against the Suppression Squad. Luckily, Dr. Kintobor came running through to end the fight. Buns later accompanied them to the Anti Castle Acorn in the suit to find Anti Amy, otherwise known as Rosy the Rascal, to defeat Scourge. But Rosy then attacked them, saying to Sonic "You're a Sonic! My Scourgey is a Sonic! I want to smash Sonics!". Amy Prime then retorted, stating that they were like sisters being counterparts, but Rosy wanted to defeat her nonetheless. As the four engaged in battle, Buns used the care unit's riot foam in an attempt to prevent her from moving, but Rosy simply destroyed the foam with her hammer, at which point Buns said "Ah wish ah'd been outfitted with somethin' a bit more proactive...like a missile launcher or somethin'." After this, Amy stayed behind to keep Rosy distracted so that Buns and Sonic could locate the Globe Posts that had been stolen from Dr. Kintobor before. Buns was concerned about leaving Amy to fight for herself, though Sonic informed her she could take care of herself. (StH: #193, #194)
Damaged and Repaired[]

Buns then protected Sonic while he went through the Globe Posts to see what was going on in Mobius. But Amy was defeated and Rosy tried to destroy the Globe Posts after knocking Buns out of the way, but she fought Rosy and lost as Rosy managed to crush a fair part of the Omega Care Unit, leaving Buns defenseless. Luckily, the suit still had some power left that she used to fly out of Anti Castle Acorn and back to Dr. Kintobor's tower, but not before telling Amy to "give that brat [Rosy] a whuppin' for me." The suit was later repaired by Dr. Kintobor, and used by Buns to ensure the Suppression Squad returned the Globe Posts to the kindly doctor after Super Scourge was defeated. (StH: #194, #195, #196)
Abilities & Weaknesses[]
The Omega Care Unit's main ability is creating a stasis field that prevents Buns's N.I.D.S. from progressing and supports her immune system. It also has added battle abilities that were grudgingly included by Dr. Kintobor after Buns requested them. These include quick-hardening riot foam, ultrasonic waves that disorient the victim and added strength. It also has rocket boosters on the bottoms of its feet and one on its back that allow it to fly. (StH: #193, #194, #195)
The care unit's major flaws, however, are that its weapons are very weak and that it lacks strong armor which proved to be its temporary downfall. Another minor flaw is that the care unit's eyes don't allow colors to be seen properly by the user. (StH: #193, #194, #195)
Background Information[]
- The Omega Care Unit bares a heavy resemblance to E-123 Omega, who was introduced to the comics six months after the care unit's debut in SU: #3. Buns also mentions that she'd "rather have somethin' a bit more proactive, like a missile launcher", which references Omega, who is equipped with one. The care unit now serves as Omega's alternate counterpart; marking the first Moebius version of a character from Mobius Prime to appear before their Mobius Prime counterpart.
- Originally, the Omega Care Unit's prototype design resembled E-102 Gamma more than Omega, but it was changed to Omega's over the years as "it seemed to lend itself better to housing a Mobian, and it seemed much more apt for her [Buns's] character." According to Ian Flynn. [1]
