Heart Aino is a playable character and the titular main protagonist of the Arcana Heart series. A sweet and pure young girl who worships love and is known as the "Extraordinarily Rare Maiden". Her family owns a bakery, and she spends a lot of time making sweets in hopes of one day getting an original item on the menu. She is best friends with Saki Tsuzura.
Her Arcana is Partinias, the Arcana of Love.
Bio[]
Animals have been attracted to Heart for as long as she has been born, much to her mother's dismay whenever she would bring them home. While the ability to see Arcana is not uncommon, the encouragement from her mother allows her to interact with them even to this day.
This gift and her purity has earned her the title of "Extraordinarily Rare Maiden".
Appearance[]
Heart is a fair-skinned girl with big, friendly orange eyes. Her short pink hair is slightly messy, with a section curled out on each side of her head and her thick bangs spread out, barely tucked beneath her ear-length forelocks. She has a large cowlick shaped like a partial heart that at times will change shape to reflect her mood.
She normally wears the Misono Academy uniform as her casual outfit. It is composed of a white collared shirt with dark brown and white folded sleeve cuffs and a single line of orange around the hem. This is paired with an orange pleated miniskirt, a crimson tie, white stockings, and a pair of blue and white shoes. She wears crimson wristbands to match the long, flowing ribbon tied around her right wrist.
Personality[]
An energetic sweetie who entirely believes in the power of love. She is as chipper as she is selfless and innocent, and with a romanticized mindset, she is said to love everyone and everything and has a contagious smile. She only seeks to make others happy and is always ready to lend a hand and easily support those she cares about, such as Saki; even if she doesn't entirely reciprocate.
As passionate as she is, Heart can become stubborn whenever frustrated or working towards a goal. She is also known for being clumsy and rushing head-first into things without thinking. Her kindness and desire to help others can also come off as being nosy or rude, but she remains unaware of this. However, it has been suggested that Heart is smarter than she lets on.

After being sought out by the Ministry of Elemental Affairs, Heart sets out to investigate the strange goings-on above the Tokyo skies.

Etymology[]
Heart's full name translates as Heart of Love.
- Heart's surname Aino means "love, affection" (愛) (ai) and "from" (乃) (no).
Trivia[]
Heart making an appearance in an episode of BlazBlue Radio...
...and then years later in an episode of BlazBlue Radio NEO.
- Some of Heart's moves and details are inspired by Ryu from Street Fighter. Her Iron Fist of Love move would be the inspiration for a move for Ragna the Bloodedge from BlazBlue.
- In an official flash game by Arc System Works, she was shown going on a date with Ragna. She also made appearances in two episodes of BlazBlue Radio. This is most likely inspired by Mikako Takahashi and Tomokazu Sugita, Heart and Ragna's respective Japanese VAs, doing several roles together.
- This would come full circle with Heart's inclusion in BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle.
- Heart's ribbon weapon may be based on the Red Strings of Fate, which are said to connect those destined to meet.
- Heart's worst subjects were originally Language Arts and History.
- Heart seems to be terrified of cockroaches, as seen in her ending in AH3.
- Heart likes cakes, parfaits, hayashi rice, dogs, and cats.
- Heart's favorite food for lunch is fried chicken.
- Heart resembles the main character, Asuna, from Softenni.
- Both have orange eyes and pink hair worn in nearly the same style.
- Both of them have unusual cowlicks.
- They both wear a white and orange uniform.
- Hubrecht, a background character from Skullgirls, has some inspiration from Heart. This includes her pink hair curled into a heart, a red ribbon, and the color scheme.
- Along with Homura from the Senran Kagura series, Heart would make an appearance as a DLC guest character in Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines Infinite Duel, a fighting game featuring various characters from manga, anime, and games made by Nitroplus.
- She also appears as both a base character in the arcade version and a DLC character in the console version of BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle, a crossover fighting game featuring characters from BlazBlue, Persona 4 Arena, Under Night In-Birth, RWBY, Senran Kagura, and Akatsuki Blitzkampf.
