Does anyone want to see the wiki's "Achievements" system finished and kept, or should I just turn that off? I understand achievements can be fun for more active wikis, but it presents problems for this one. It's mostly the "editing the wiki every day for [five/fourteen/thirty/sixty] days" achievements I don't like because I feel like it encourages users to make unnecessary or even "bad" edits (not "bad faith" edits--that's different) to keep the streak going. There's also the "burnout" factor for some users. I also kind of worry that finishing the "achievements" such that every badge has a unique quote and image would take time away from me actually fixing up articles, categories, etc.
I'm not sure where to post this so everyone can see it, but I will probably be making an edit to the Style Guide. Simply put, I'm tired of users making edits to more than 30 articles in a day.
If the rule change takes effect, we will no longer allow projects that involve editing 20 or more pages without first talking about it here in Discussions or on an admin's message wall. (Administrators do not need permission from other administrators as long as the edits comply with FANDOM's "Terms of Service.")
For example, if a user wants to change "Category:Males" to "Category:Male" they will not be allowed to change all the articles in "Category:Males" to reflect that change to the category without first getting admin approval.
If this rule is broken (even if the edits are in good faith), an administrative user may issue a wiki-wide block from one day to seven days at the admin's discretion. (Please do not argue with admins about why this user got a full week ban when that user got a one day ban.) Please also note that this rule does not mean vandals will only be banned for one week.
"Why the rule change?" I don't like banning users, but I also do not like going through 50+ pages to moderate edits that do not adhere to policy. So much of the time this is vandalism, but in other cases, it is a series of related edits that do not adhere to policy. My warnings and advice often go ignored. I want to make it clear that I most likely won't be banning users for editing many pages in a day as long as they meet the guidelines set forth in the "Style Guide" page. I will try to be lenient with bans given this way as long as they're made in good faith. A one-day block should be good enough if the edits are done in good faith. However, if users want to make an edit to more than 20 or even 50 pages in a day, they should talk about it with administrators first.
That's all I will say for now. Please make good decisions.
I feel like the space ghost page should mention the shows association with it. Ideally could also include whatever stuff people have about baffler meal.
Does anyone have the video where Dave & Matt allegedly confirmed that the Aqua Teens are creations of Dr. Weird. The video is unavailable now.
I still see this as plausible in-universe given that the double-length episode with the long title in Season 11 suggested that all three of the Aqua Teens have gems, suggesting that they may have been created by Dr. Weird. (I can only speculate about why C. Martin Croker did not return for this episode. Maybe it was just cut for time.) However, I don't want to list it as official anymore unless someone can track down the footage.
So natually a lot of people know that the name "Aqua Teen Hunger Force" makes little to no sense in the main series context, but if you do watch the baffler meal episode, it makes total sense.
But there is something that always disquieted me, its the first name, I can fully understand "Teen hunger Force" but why is there aqua?? I could legit never find a explanation anywhere, does anyone have *any* idea on what it could be?
Im really really curious now, some time ago, I have seen articles like "x on wheels" and being really confused because they only leaded to the normal pages, but I want to understand why is a user name being "x on wheels" is forbidden? lol what took place??

Attention: Due to excessive edits, I have "protected" the following pages from non-administrative edits for two weeks: "Season 11"; "Last Last One Forever and Ever"; "Anubis (episode)"
I noticed users kept changing the wording regarding whether or not the show is cancelled, and I didn't want it escalating as an edit war. No one is in trouble, but please consider talking out issues like this on talk pages in the future.
A lot of these edits were also speculation at this time. Maiellaro confirmed they weren't renewed, but I need you guys to understand that in 2015, cancellations were very different. With streaming and the way contracts work now, shows are cancelled and renewed all the time. If The Fairly Oddparents can get rebooted in 2024 after the live action reboot failed, then ATHF is not necessarily doomed. Yes, it's sad that they only gave us five more episodes, but the fate of the show is uncertain for now, and we shouldn't speculate about it too much on the articles, especially not on a page for a Season 6 episode.
That's all I have to say. Please be kind to each other. Thank you. --Shwartz
I'm creating a map of the aqua teen house on gmod but I don't know the size of the house.
Good Afternoon. I go by FrostyCharm, I'm the person who edited Master Shake's page about two months back. I completely overhauled his Personality section and, eventually, his Relationships as well in order to update it to more faithful, unbiased description.
I briefly discussed these change with administrator Edd Swartz, and improved my original edit as best I could to de-formalize it. This has since been reverted to his old description as an administrative decision. Besides my messages with Swartz weeks ago, I was not contacted about this decision. I was told to start a discussion about this topic. I've never used Fandom before, so apologizes if I'm doing this wrong.
A user on the wiki recently corrected the episode "The Marines" as "Season 5, Episode 8" which confused me. I realized before reverting the edit that this was done because "Boston" is sometimes unofficially considered "Season 5, Episode 0" which would make "Robots Everywhere" Season 5 Episode 1, "Sirens" Season 5 Episode 2, etc.
I was actually wondering if anyone had any strong arguments for how to approach this problem. I would like to issue a proposal to make "Boston" Season 5, Episode 0 with the later Season 5 episodes being adjusted in episode number (both on the infobox and in the summary of the article before the first heading). This is a policy change for the entire wiki, but I will not be banning users for mistakenly issuing changes to the episode numbers after this proposal passes or fails. I do not enjoy banning users.
This proposal will NOT renumber "Boston" as anything other than Episode 69. I'm sure there's some fans who don't appreciate the "LOL Sixty-Nine" joke, but I'm not prepared to to start a massive fan war over it. The episode count of the show stays the way it is. This only affects the numbering within Season 5.
As usual, this will not be solved by counting votes because we don't have enough consistent contributors, but if a lot of people bring up valid arguments for "Boston" to be numbered "Season 5, Episode 1," and "Bible Fruit" to be labeled "Season 5, Episode 10," I will try to listen.
Also, I'm aware the crew refers to this season as "Season 8." I don't understand why. This has been called Season 5 for years, and Max (formerly HBO Max) agrees that this is Season 5. (Don't bring up the DVD or iTunes releases because those are volumes, not season box sets, aside from AUPS1.) Even though I would like to respect the crew who made the show, I am not interested in renumbering the season pages.
I will also be sharing this on the ATHF Wiki's Twitter page aquateenwiki
With that out of the way, let's start the discussion.
This Tuesday, February 27, HBO Max became max and that meant that all the content of the app went to the other, the fact is that at the time of adding the ATHF episodes they accidentally added the episode "Shake like me" (episode that is currently banned from all platforms) with the name of the episode "she creature"
Why are ratings no longer necessary on this wiki?
I have an announcement to make: We will be gathering quotes for the four main characters (Master Shake, Frylock, Meatwad, and Carl Brutananadilewski)! That's right. In the past, Quotes were delegated to the infobox. I'm not sure when this decision was made, but it was likely a haulover from the old administrator User:Master Shake, but I'm afraid it ends now. Rather than cramming the quotes into the infobox or bogging the page down with 50+ quotes in the article contents, we will be making them their own page in the format "{Character Name}/Quotes" eg, "Master Shake/Quotes"
Now I want to lead a discussion on which quotes to add. This will be a community discussion (not an administrators-only discussion). However, let's focus on the four main characters, beginning with Master Shake instead of making one absolute mess of a thread (or handling five or ten different threads, which would be a headache for me to moderate).
Ground Rules:
Be considerate of others. If you disagree with a quote being listed on the article "Master Shake/Quotes" do so in a respectful way.
Do not create the "Quotes" article(s) yourself. I need to hold the discussion first, so we can have a more complete, comprehensive article of quotes.
This is not the discussion page for "Frylock/Quotes" or "Meatwad/Quotes" or "Carl Brutananadilewski/Quotes" Trust me: We'll get to those, but I want to focus on one at a time. Likewise, do not suggest quotes for other characters unless they lead into a quote for Master Shake.
Do not spam this thread with nonsense that is not relevant to the discussion.
Guidlines:
I will only allow quotes from official sources which includes the show, the two movies, the spin-off Aquadonk Side Pieces, "Baffler Meal" (listed towards the end of the article and not before Season 1), and official adult swim promos (such as the Fake dot com endings). I will not allow fan fiction, unofficial productions (including those endorsed by Adult Swim or uploaded on Adult Swim's website). bootlegs, or other fan-created projects. Note that other spin-offs (such as Carl's web spin-off and Anime Talk Show) will be applicable in the future, but Shake does not appear in those spin-offs as far as I know.
Quotes from dream sequences and simulations (eg, "Super Birthday Snake") are allowed if they are representative of the character. However, if the joke is that the character doesn't act like themself because it's a dream sequence (such as Shake's story at the beginning of Aqua Teen Forever: Plantasm), it should probably not be listed. (I might this rule in the future if someone changes my mind.)
Try to stay on the topic of quotes for Shake. I enjoy a good tangent, but this thread can get messy in a hurry.
While not a hard rule, I would recommend browsing the wiki for the work (usually in the form of an episode or movie) where the quote comes from including a description of when it happens in the episode. I'd like these quotes on the page organized by season. If it's from Season 1, Season 2, most of Season 3, Season 5, or Season 8, I might be able to identify where it came from. However, please don't make me hunt for the source. If you can't remember which episode, please try to provide context, so I can deduce where it originates from.
Try to get the quote word for word if you can. The full series (except "Boston" and "Shake Like Me") are available on Max.
Try not to request too many quotes from the same episode. Additionally, there shouldn't be excessive quotes from any one season unless we are discussing Season 2 (which is twice as long as Season 7 and more than twice as long as Seasons 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, and 11 by episode count). Five Master Shake quotes per episode is probably more than enough, and we don't need a quote from every single episode. I will not put a limit on the number of quotes for the season unless it becomes a problem.
I would hope to have at least three to five quotes per season.
Not everything Shake says is a one-liner. Please provide context (such as what the character said to Shake to elicit a response from him) unless it is funny or memorable on its own and/or makes reasonable sense without context.
We may at some point designate one (1) line for the section "Quotes" which will link to the "Master Shake/Quotes" page. This quote should be something iconic that reflects, and is representative of, the character's personality throughout the majority of the show. (I have a good idea for Carl's quote, but I'll save that for later.)
I think that more or less covers it. I'll reply to myself with my own suggested quotes in time. I look forward to holding this discussion. Thank you.
All right, so I checked, and it is still not currently possible to name an article as all lower case. I will have to clean up the redirects after this proposal. (I thought the servers would give me a warning before I did it.)
Should the article for mc chris (aka Chris Ward) be renamed "MC Chris" or "MC chris"? My personal opinion is that if it cannot be how he stylizes his name, it should be changed to the grammatically preferred format of "MC Chris."
I will not be renaming the page to Chris Ward at this time. The Season 11 episode "Hospice" clearly credits him as "MC CHRIS" (in all upper case because of the stylized "anime" credits), so we will be using his stage name as the title of the page.
One last thing: Yes, the article says "mc chris" when you click on links to the page, but this is a wikitext trick. I know this means it technically doesn't matter, but I think we should try to be consistent about the redirects upon redirects.
