Chickens ( Niwatori?) are a species of villager in the Animal Crossing series.

In total, there are fourteen chickens, half of which are male and half of which are female. There were only male chickens in Wild World. Of all the chickens, two are normal, three are snooty, two are lazy, three are jock, one is peppy, one is cranky, one is smug, and one is sisterly.

Goose and Egbert are the only chickens to appear in every game in the series, including Pocket Camp.
