Nagano is a prefecture of Japan located in the Chuubu region of Honshuu. It borders Niigata to the north, Gunma to the northeast, Saitama to the east, Yamanashi to the southeast, Shizuoka and Aichi to the south, and Gifu and Toyama to the west. The capital and largest city is the city of Nagano, with other major cities including Matsumoto, Ueda, and Iida.
