- Known for her good relationship with younger members.

- Doesn't like tomatoes.
- Has been participating in dance lessons since grade 1 and considers it her favorite sport.
- Had the nickname Gojira (Godzilla) in primary school, but she was also often associated with Gachapin (a Japanese children's cartoon character). This also led her to dress up as Gacahpin in the variety show "Dokkiri GP" many times, and has pranked AKB48 members and graduates such as Takahashi Minami, Mukaichi Mion, etc.
- Wants to get married at around age 30. She would like her future husband to call her 'Minami' rather than 'Miichan.' She has shared she used to feel jealous of Takahashi Minami because everyone called her Minami in the beginning, while she was referred to as Miichan.
- She used to want to be the perfect idol type, but she was often told she would fit better as a variety idol due to her rebellious persona. She was unhappy with this for a while, but eventually embraced being a Variety Idol and these days, she is frequently a guest on different types of variety shows.
- Collects hats.
- Keeps warm in winter by pretending it's summer and feeling thankful that it's so breezy. She learned this from a manga
- Is often jealous of Kojima Haruna for being able to write kanji that she can't write herself
- Her father was a big fan of Asaka Yui and Minamino Yoko, and frequently asked Minami to take photos of the other AKB48 members
- Her parents used to run a restaurant named "Tea Room Tane" located in Takashimadaira, Tokyo. On February 26, 2016 it was remodelled to a beer speciality pub named "Kirigirisu" (Cricket). It could be possible that the name is derived from the No Sleeves song Kirigirisu Jin.
- Is allergic to cats
- Recommended AKB48 song is Skirt, Hirari because the costumes are cute.
- During the 1st Generation's debut, they were told by their agency to think of stage names for themselves. Because she had the same name as Takahashi Minami, Minegishi thought of using Mimi-chan as her stage name.
- She is the only AKB48 member to have been on all four teams and a Kenkyuusei.
- Her screen name in Majisuka Gakuen 2 was "Shaku" (screentime) as that was always what she was striving for.
- Former member of the fake group "SONE" with Kitahara Rie, Sashihara Rino and Miyazaki Miho, that regularly participated on Request Hour MCs. They disbanded in 2014. They briefly reunited in her graduation concert.
- When Miichan was one year old, she received a cuddly toy named "Beaver-chan." She introduced the toy to her fans in the introduction profile video for AKB48's first single Aitakatta. After this, it also appeared in her first photobook and her parents took it with them to see Miichan backstage after the General Election 2013.
- Her poster for the 2017 General Election was designed by Lily Franky, a Japanese award winning illustrator, writer and actor.
- Jabaja is the first single since the group's debut to not include Minegishi on any song.
- A big fan of the Sashihara Rino produced idol group =LOVE, and has directed music videos for them.
- The last member of AKB48's 1st Generation. Despite this, she was not the oldest member of the 1st Generation.
- Announced her graduation on December 8, 2019. Her graduation concert was supposed to be held on April 2, 2020 in Yokohama Arena, but it was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
- She had her 1000th theater performance on February 21, 2020, joining her kouhai Murayama Yuiri (and later HKT48's Ueno Haruka, as well as NMB48's Ishida Yuumi) as a "Theater Goddess" (シアターの女神 "Theater no Megami").
- Tested positive for COVID-19 on March 7, 2022. [1] She later recovered on March 16, 2022. [2]
- Married Tokai on Air member Tetsuya on August 16, 2022.
- She announced her pregnancy on March 1, 2024. She gave birth to a baby girl in July 2024.
