Akatsuki Blitzkampf, also known as Akatsuki Denkō Senki in Japan, is a dōjin 2D fighting game, developed by the dōjin circle SUBTLE STYLE. It is a final retitled version of Akatsuki Prototyp 1. The original game was released exclusively for Microsoft Windows in Japan in 2007.
The later update known as Akatsuki Blitzkampf Ausf. Achse (Akatsuki Denkō Senki Ausf. Achse in Japan) (full name Akatsuki Blitzkampf/Denko Senki Ausführung Achse) first released in arcades a year later, and then was announced to be released on PC nearly ten years later in 2019, under a title Akatsuki Blitzkampf Type-A (Akatsuki Denkō Senki Type-A in Japan), originally meant to commence the series' proper worldwide inclusion in BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle. Though it is currently still in early development, it was delayed due to COVID-19 pandemic for two years between 2020 and 2021, and SUBTLE is currently focusing on finalizing its sequel title EN-Eins Perfektewelt at time its Anastasis update was announced in 2022.
Plot[]
In the Japanese Imperial calendar year Koki 266X A.D. (200X AD in Gregorian calendar), a submarine suddenly emerged in the Arctic Ocean while transporting a new weapon "Blitz Motor" from Germany to Japan. Former Imperial Army high class technical engineer Akatsuki, who has survived to the present age by hibernating in the frozen submarine, begins to carry out his final orders received during the war, which were to take the Blitz Motor and destroy it should it fall into enemy hands. On the other hand, due to Akatsuki's re-emergence, various organizations who want his Blitz Motor begin to search for him in order to gain the power of the Blitz Motor for themselves.

Trivia[]
- The titles translated from German as "Flash Fight" and "Axis Edition".
- As the storyline takes place in each stages based on the locations per row normally: Shanghai (East China); Fuji, Shizuoka (Japan); Hong Kong City; Tsangpo Canyon, Tibet (West China). However, there are two cases for Chinese Border characters:
- Arcade battles between Chinese Border characters from each same countries: Facing between two Chinese characters in a Chinese stage only occur in mid boss fight/Stage 4 only; Facing between two Hong Kong characters in an Hong Kong stage only occurs in Stage 1.
- Hong Kong characters does not have a mid-boss fight against outside Tibet.
- In Arcade Mode, fighting both versions of Mycale in a same stage which starts from fighting her "base" form in Round 1 is inspired from a Tekken 3 boss fight against both forms of Ogre. Adler can be count as this, but the player's Round 1 opponent starts from Elektrosoldat. However, unlike Adler, who can only fight Elektrosoldat in the next Round instead of himself, both versions of Mycale cannot be fought against each other, due to story lore progressing.
