The Lost Numbers are a military organization in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, belonging to the City.

Overview[]

The Lost Numbers' goal is to free the world from the oppression of the Consuls' control.

They are the descendants of the Ouroboros and Liberators who survived the fall of the first City, and the people they have freed from the Consuls' control. The names of the Ouroboros were Ortiz, Reid, Doyle, Vandham, Cassini, and Rhodes. Each founder had a statue in Memorial Hall, except Reid and Cassini, who instead have their masters as statues out of respect. Nonetheless, the mentors deeply aided Ouroboros in the battle against Moebius, though Reid's mentor lost an arm and Cassini's mentor lost an eye. Like Doyle, Ortiz and Rhodes were late joiners, both joined Ouroboros after their Flame Clocks were destroyed, Rhodes also briefly fought Ortiz first.

The City, currently located in Swordmarch, is the Lost Numbers' home and base of operations, and Monica Vandham is their leader. The elite soldiers of the Lost Numbers take part in a selection exam, and the top six soldiers are chosen as candidates to be Ouroboros, and the rest are reserve candidates.

Its members typically wear specialized eyepatches outside of the City to conceal their positions from the Consuls, as their Irises emit a radio signal that the Consuls might otherwise be able to trace.
