The Fajr-2 rocket launcher is one of the rockets developed from the Fajr family in Iran. Compared to the Fajr-1, this rocket launcher has a greater range and caliber.[2][3] This rocket was the second indigenized by Iranian military engineers.[4]

Likely, this rocket launcher was later integrated into the production line of the Fajr-3. The launcher for this rocket is the same as the Fajr-3 rocket launcher.[3] This rocket is one of the lesser-known rockets in Iran's military industry.[5]
