Carricitos is an unincorporated community in Cameron County, Texas, United States.[1] According to the Handbook of Texas, the community had a population of 25 in 2000. It is located within the Rio Grande Valley and the Brownsville-Harlingen metropolitan area.[2]
Geography
[edit]Carricitos is located near the intersection of U.S. Highway 281 and Farm to Market Road 2520, 7 miles (11 km) southwest of San Benito in southwestern Cameron County.[2]
Education
[edit]Carricitos had its own school in 1936 and 1948.[2] Today, the community is served by the San Benito Consolidated Independent School District. Children in the community attend Rangerville Elementary School, San Benito Riverside Middle School, and San Benito High School.
